The JI Hotel (Shanghai Guizhou Road) has an excellent, super convenient location. It's just a few steps from the bustling Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. There are all sorts of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and it's close to the subway station. My king-size room was clean, tidy, and spacious enough. The walls, floors, and bathroom all felt very new. I also want to highlight the excellent and efficient service from the hotel staff! From the young people at the front desk to the aunties who clean the rooms, everyone was very professional, diligent, and treated guests with courtesy and respect. Although the hotel's amenities (like not having a bathtub or a shower curtain to separate the shower and toilet areas) might not compare to more expensive, larger hotels, staying here was very comfortable. I personally feel it offers great value for money!

Booked one room with a window and one without. There's an elevator, but the rooms are quite small. It's peak season now, and the hotel has 39 rooms. The facilities inside are decent; there are USB and Type-C charging ports on the wall.

When I walked through the door, the floor was spotless, the desk was gleaming with no fingerprints, and the bedding was neatly folded without a single wrinkle or odd smell. The bathroom was perfectly clean, free of water stains and odors, and all the facilities worked perfectly. I had a very comfortable night's sleep. You can just check in and relax without needing to tidy up anything, which is great for anyone with high standards for cleanliness. I told the front desk twice about the hygiene issues, and they actually said the bedding wasn't washed by them. The service and problem-solving were truly terrible, with no sense of service at all.
