Atour Hotel (Shanghai Lujiazui Nextage)

This hotel is absolutely the most outrageous and misleading hotel I've ever stayed in! 🤬 It completely shattered all my expectations for the Atour brand! They claim it's a 'quality hotel in the core Lujiazui business district,' but when I arrived, I was shocked – it's not a standalone hotel at all. It's located inside the 'Nei Wai Lian Building,' a mixed-use commercial building where all sorts of people come and go. There's no exclusive access control, so anyone can just walk in and out. Coming back to my room late at night, I felt completely unsafe, with zero sense of security! 😤 The room was even more of a disaster: the bedding was unbelievably filthy with obvious stains. The edges of the sheets were yellow and pilling, making it clear they hadn't been thoroughly changed or cleaned in a long time. It was disgusting to even lie on. And the air conditioning was even crazier – it was an inhumane heating system! It only blew hot air the entire time. Soon after turning it on, the room temperature kept rising, and the thermostat would show forty degrees! 🔥 I was sweating profusely and struggling to breathe. The only way to get some fresh air was to open the window! But opening the window was a nightmare – exhaust fumes from the street poured straight into the room, and at night, I was bombarded by outside noise until dawn! 🚦 Car noise, people talking, all sorts of sounds – I couldn't sleep at all. I woke up the next day feeling completely exhausted! And the service attitude was even more ridiculous! The front desk staff were cold and indifferent the whole time, barely answering my questions. When I brought up the issue of the heater blasting at forty degrees and being unable to sleep due to the noise from the open window, they just gave a perfunctory 'that's normal' excuse, saying it's a commercial building with central air conditioning, so it can't be adjusted. They had no intention of solving the problem and lacked even the most basic service awareness! 🙄
