Shanghai Hyakumangoku Onsen Hotel

The room was very clean, the facilities were new, the service was great, and the onsen experience was very relaxing. It's definitely worth a visit.

The room was super convenient, right opposite the hotel lobby, making it easy to get around. The interior was cozy, clean, and completely odorless. Our little one loved it and slept soundly. Highly recommended!

We happened to visit during a typhoon, so we completely missed out on the public hot springs, which was a bit of a shame. However, the indoor hot tub felt quite nice. The hotel environment is also very beautiful, with a large lawn in the back offering expansive views. The location is excellent, very close to Disney and the Bicester Village outlet. The outlet is just a 5-minute walk away, where you can find dining options and an unpowered outdoor playground for kids, which is quite convenient. A less friendly aspect is that deliveries and food orders couldn't seem to reach us directly. Delivery riders had to take taxis back and forth, making the delivery fees very high. The self-service breakfast selection was a bit limited and pretty much the same every day, so it was easy to get tired of it.

It's a real treat to find such a great value hotel so close to Disneyland. The hotel itself is beautiful and spotless. After a long day of walking, being able to relax in a hot spring bath immediately relieved all my fatigue. The hotel's Disneyland shuttle service was particularly impressive; they used a luxurious business van. Even with a typhoon bringing heavy winds and rain that day, the young man driving the shuttle provided excellent service. The hotel's breakfast was also of good quality.

The overall design is a complete Japanese garden, with stone lanterns, a dry landscape garden, and wooden architecture, creating an amazing atmosphere perfect for casual photos. The location is very convenient, with a free shuttle bus to and from Disneyland, and Bicester Village just across the road, making shopping and dining effortless. Upon check-in, yukata are provided. The public hot spring area includes both indoor and outdoor baths. The water is溫潤, and a soak completely washes away fatigue; soaking in the outdoor bath at night is especially relaxing. The rooms are clean and quiet, with soft lighting, and some room types come with private hot springs, offering great privacy. The Japanese breakfast offers a rich variety, and the welcome wagashi (Japanese confections) add a nice touch of ritual to the details.

Everything else was fine, but they made me wait an hour and a half to check in. The platform clearly states check-in is at 2 PM, but we didn't get into our room until 3:40 PM! That's an hour and a half wasted! I asked if I could do laundry, and the front desk said yes. After paying and dropping it off, I was told it would take 5 hours, and they said they'd deliver it to my room, but they didn't. I had to call several times to finally get it! Overall, it was decent, but the check-in wait was way too long! It feels like they're misleading customers. Plus, there's a clear no-smoking policy in the room, so I don't know how that burn mark got on the side of the bed!

The environment is quite good, very tranquil, and fully Japanese-style. The room is spacious. Bicester Village is right across the road, which was my main reason for choosing this hotel. It caters to both kids and adults. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and it's only two or three stops to the Disney theme park. The hotel has a hot spring, but we didn't get to try it this time as it was too hot. We might give it a try when the weather gets colder.

The hotel offers a shuttle service, and the drivers were all very enthusiastic. The hotel also granted us a late check-out.
