This hotel has a wonderful wabi-sabi aesthetic that makes it feel more like a secluded resort than being right in the middle of Shanghai. The breakfast is a major highlight—the menu changes daily and offers a great variety of delicious options. The only minor drawback is that the staff are stretched a bit thin and struggle with English communication. However, if you don't mind a little language barrier, it's a unique and tranquil stay. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the hotel is a very peaceful and relaxing place. The food was absolutely spectacular, and we slept really well. The staff were extremely attentive, kind, and polite. They give you complimentary water, tea and snacks. They don’t speak much English, but with the help of a translator and their great willingness to assist, we were able to communicate very well. We highly recommend this place. It’s a wonderful place to stay and a great way to experience and discover Shanghai. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation!

A classic Atour with Yunnan-style, rustic yet elegant, and a tranquil environment. The breakfast is mainly Chinese and very substantial. Upon checkout, they thoughtfully gave us tea bags and foot soak packets. The hotel doesn't have a gym, but a morning run around the neighborhood felt great too. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
