Dayin International Youth Hostel（East Nanjing Road & The Bund）

Very friendly staff! The room was very clean and the bed surprisingly very comfortable :) The location is great. Would stay again!

I came to Shanghai alone and wanted a place in the city center that was budget friendly, offered free laundry, had convenient metro access, made eating out easy, and was good for shopping, choosing this hotel was the right call. But if what you fear most is being jolted awake by a neighbor’s snoring and then lying awake all night, this place is not for you. I stayed here for two nights and couldn’t sleep properly either night. I was woken by snoring until dawn. That said, I really like the lounge area and bar here. It’s a great fit for a group of four friends traveling together, since all four of you can stay in one room. For that, this hotel is the best budget friendly choice.

The room was a bit small, but still reasonable and comfortable enough for a short stay. The automatic sliding doors were quite interesting and something I hadn’t seen before. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was also clean and well-maintained. The overall atmosphere was nice and cozy, and the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful as well, and the check-in process was smooth. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a good option for the price.

a very nice spot, close to the city centre and metro stations! they serve breakfast but the variety of options is not very bid and drinks at the bar are quite expensive

This is my third time staying here. The location is excellent, and for a hostel, it is nice and clean. Convenient for staying a couple of nights.

Wonderful hostel located right in the heart of Shanghai. The room a bit small but modern with its own little fridge and kettle with some tea. The hotel was clean with good laundry facilities (no dryer however and the drying area was a bit small for the amount of clothes that had to dry, other people's clothing could drip onto your own by-then dry clothing which was a bit annoying). The thing I can't praise more though is the hotel staff's kindness and willingness to help: I'd been attempting to change our in-flight meals to vegetarian for days and it became necessary to call the airline with a Chinese speaker, the desk clerk was so kind as to help me for the full 30 min it took to get an English speaking staff from the airline on the phone. I cannot sing enough praises to the hotel's service because of this :)

If your are solo travelling in Shanghai, look no further this is the one!! THE STAFF＞＞＞ I lost my phone while drunk and they went above an beyond in contacting the didi in which I left it. I can’t thank them enough. They also helped with sending back taobao packages,… overall you can really ask them anything. About the amenities: the room and bathroom are up to standard, the gym although very basic has everything for a small routine and a second room for stretching, yoga etc. The washing room has free machines and a drying space. The main area downstairs is comfortable but loud, upstairs they have a more quiet, study type room. Overall no regrets about my stay here.
