Hyatt Regency properties in Shanghai

The room was luxurious and stunning, and the front desk staff even upgraded us. The service was top-notch, and I'll definitely be returning often. The hotel's surroundings are also beautiful, with convenient access to dining, entertainment, and shopping. However, the hotel's management has significant issues, and many of the staff members clearly aren't on their game. We ordered cake and two coffees at the rooftop cafe, but only one coffee arrived. The dining area featured open-air market-style tables and chairs, which completely clashed with the price and the expected ambiance! I can only conclude that the manager has no idea what 'ambiance' means. It felt like they expected you to just grab a chair and drink your coffee, no fuss! What's worse is the locker room at the swimming pool. The locks were broken and wouldn't secure. When I went to the pool front desk, the female attendant said she couldn't comment on the men's changing room as she's a woman. I spoke to a staff member inside, who said several were broken and that the engineering team hadn't fixed them despite being reported. I then told the front desk staff, who admitted he knew some were broken, but this particular one I reported was 'newly' broken... These are definitely management problems.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the Wujiaochang business district with direct access to the mall downstairs, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping. This stay was specifically for my birthday, and overall, the experience was good. A special thank you to Kevin for the thoughtful room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, and a birthday cake – it truly made the occasion feel special. The room size was adequate. The only minor downside is that the hotel is a bit older, and the facilities are showing some age. During my stay, there was a small incident: the room assigned had not been double-checked after cleaning. While I was in the room, a staff member swiped their card and directly opened the door (thankfully, I always use the security chain), which raised privacy concerns. I suggest the hotel optimize its room allocation system. Rooms should only be marked as available for check-in in the system after a second inspection and approval. Additionally, strict protocols for staff entering rooms should be enforced to prevent similar situations from happening again. Overall, the experience was satisfactory. I wish the hotel prosperous business.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was a major advantage, with several shopping malls nearby, making it convenient for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Although the outdoor swimming pool was unfortunately closed during my stay, the spa area was clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was tasty. I would especially like to recognize Jayden, who was incredibly fast, efficient, and professional. I was genuinely impressed by how quickly he handled every request and resolved any issues that came up. The hotel is somewhat far from both Shanghai city center and the airport, but if you have business or activities in this area, the location is excellent and very convenient. Overall, a great stay with excellent service, and I would gladly return in the future.

My stay at Hyatt this time exceeded all expectations! The hotel's overall decor is grand and stylish, and the room was spacious and comfortable. They even kindly upgraded us to a lake view room for free, and the scenery outside the window was absolutely stunning. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful; they responded promptly to our requests, even providing an air purifier. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with delicious flavors and fresh ingredients. The service throughout our stay was impeccable, from the hardware facilities to the soft services. This will definitely be my top choice for accommodation when traveling, and I'll certainly be back!

I've stayed twice this month alone, and both times were very satisfying. 1. **Excellent Location:** The hotel is located right next to Jinshajiang Road Metro Station. It's a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Line 13 and Exit 2 of Lines 3/4. This makes transportation to Hongqiao Hub, Shanghai Railway Station, and Shanghai South Railway Station very convenient. The hotel also has direct access to Global Harbor Shopping Mall on the first floor, offering easy access to dining, entertainment, and shopping. 2. **Satisfactory Facilities:** The hotel's public areas and in-room facilities are generally good. Although the hotel has been open for many years, it's well-maintained and even comes with a Bose Bluetooth speaker. 3. **Room Upgrade:** The front desk upgraded us to a city view room. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view, and on clear days, you can even see the 'Shanghai Three-Piece Suit' (the three iconic skyscrapers) in Pudong. 4. **Great Gym and Pool:** The gym and pool areas are very nice, and they even have a hot tub and a dry sauna.
