I stayed in a shared room and felt that for the price I paid I got my money’s worth. The amenities were clean and there is running hot water here. The bed was hard, however, and was a little challenging to get comfortable in.
That said, the Halfway Inn is a great pit stop if you’re trekking across the Gorge. Friendly staff, delicious food, and incredible views over the Hongba and Yulong Snow Mountains—whether that be from the restaurant or the famous loo!—complete an enjoyable experience at the hostel.

Cosy and comfortable stay at Tiger Leaping Gorge. Was a wonderful and clean space to rest the feet after a long trek!

Fantastic hostel. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was good. Excellent food and nice hot shower after a long day on the trail. Oh but the bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the road. Otherwise very good

Love this place. We stayed in one of the domitry room with the best view of the gorge and mountain. The restaurant's foods were one of the best we were eaten during our trip. The cafe is also cozy, with a stunning view.

Did not stay here in the end as I decided to complete my hike in a day. However the balcony had great views, restaurant food was yummy too.

This guest house is really popular, so we had to get a sharing room which if one does not mind, is still fine.

overall great experience! The view is amazing and I daresay the food at Halfway was the best food I’ve eaten in my China trip. I wish the place provide proper towels instead of disposable ones. There was also no hot water for shower but not sure if it was just our room.

What a welcome sight at the end of the first day hiking.
Our room with the balcony was just superb. Being able to sit out on the balcony and take in the view was wonderful.
Also the food was delicious. So nice to have some western breakfast options available . Pancakes were delicious.

What an amazing place to stay! Yulong and Haba snow mountain are right in front of the guesthouse. Food and coffee is good, view is amazing.
