MoYe | Snow Mountain Cliff Hotel (Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge Hotel)

Finally made it to the highly anticipated Moye Hotel! I've been wanting to stay here for ages, and it certainly lived up to the hype – absolutely stunning! The entire hotel looks like it's built from stone, facing the Tiger Leaping Gorge directly, with endless mountains opposite. The hotel's heated infinity pool feels like it's suspended in mid-air. Whether you're in the cafe or the Western restaurant, every spot is perfect for an amazing photo. The hotel also has some great photo spots like the glass skywalk – absolutely incredible! Upon check-in, a dedicated service group is set up, and the butler is always responsive, even delivering sweet soup at night. This isn't just a feast for the eyes; I honestly didn't want to leave the room! Highly recommend: If you have a bit of money and some free time, you absolutely must come and experience this hotel.

The Cloud View Room facing the bridge offers an absolutely stunning view. The only downside is that it's quite a walk from the front desk, so getting out and going for meals requires a bit of a trek. However, the hotel's shower is excellent, the best I've experienced among several places I've stayed. I'd also like to give a special shout-out to the bar; its comfort level was unexpectedly high – I just sat down and practically melted into the sofa, it was pure heaven!!! The food felt like it was from a Western restaurant, and the burgers and fries were delicious. As for the trendy cafe, don't bother going if you're not planning to take photos; it felt a bit awkward.

I booked the cave room. When I first entered, I noticed the window faced the public area staircase. It was awkward making eye contact with people outside while the front desk staff was still explaining things. There was an unmarked ledge on the floor that I tripped over twice. The room had no tables or chairs to put things on, only two wobbly chairs on the balcony. When they brought dessert in the evening, there was simply no place to put it. The tray for water cups by the sink had mold spots. There's a lot of room for improvement. For example, before the coffee shop opens in the morning, could hotel guests use their room cards to enter for photos, like a dedicated guest access?

The rooms are uniquely designed, blending seamlessly with the mountain rock formations. The panoramic window views are fantastic. The service was also excellent, with lovely afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and thoughtful souvenirs. I hope the quality of the dining can continue to improve.

The family room was a bit smaller than the king room, but everything else was excellent. The food was quite satisfying. It's a shame we couldn't experience the cliffside pool due to the weather. Our travel schedule only allowed for a short stay, but I'd definitely recommend staying for 2-3 days to fully immerse yourself in Tiger Leaping Gorge.

The hotel's service was excellent. The front desk staff replied to messages instantly, and the hiking guide was very professional! If I come to Tiger Leaping Gorge again, I would still choose to stay here! The only downside is that the hotel's location is a bit remote, with no amenities nearby. The prices at the hotel's convenience store/restaurant/cafe were also a bit high.

The location is excellent. Right after descending from Halfway House on the Tea Horse Road, you arrive at the hotel. The decor is quite beautiful, though the colorful lights at night are a bit much; a solid color would feel more upscale. From this room type, you get a direct view of the mountains, but it gets very hot in the morning once the sun hits the room. This time, I happened to be there during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and it was perfect for moon gazing at night. The complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea were also quite good. The hotel's coffee shop is indeed beautiful for photos, with its stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. However, I was too tired to take pictures after hiking; I recommend doing it before your hike.

The views are breathtaking, the hotel design is unique, and the service is excellent. They helped with laundry, valet parking, and all requests were handled promptly and effectively!
