Shangri-La Half View Vacation Homestay (Near the Giant Prayer Wheel, Dukezong Ancient City)

While dining in Dukezong Ancient Town, we bumped into a couple from Guangdong who strongly recommended this guesthouse to us. There was only one room left that night, so we booked it immediately. Haha, I guess seasoned travelers really do give the best recommendations! I'm also taking this chance to jot down a good guesthouse I've stayed in. This guesthouse has an elevator, private parking, it's super new, very clean, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is included, and it was genuinely a very comfortable stay. The view from the room is stunning, and you can see the ancient town from the guesthouse's rooftop – perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. Highly recommend it!

This guesthouse in Shangri-La was an amazing experience! The location is quiet and convenient, the environment is clean and cozy, and the style is really unique. The moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and relaxed. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, providing meticulous and attentive service, truly excelling in the details. The room was tidy and comfortable, with floor heating and oxygen supply, ensuring a sound night's sleep. The hotel's viewing platform offers a great view of the Big Buddha Temple, and it's excellent value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shangri-La!

Facilities: There are 4 parking spaces available. The shower water pressure is great, and the underfloor heating temperature is just right. However, one of the pillows was too high, making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep. There were also lower pillows, but my kids took them. Service: Excellent! The ginger tea offered upon arrival was especially delicious and really warmed me up. Breakfast was also tasty, particularly the soy milk – my kids loved it. It tasted rich and creamy, likely because it had milk added. The owner even gave two milk candies to the kids, which they really enjoyed. Environment: Very good. The room was spacious enough, and it's a very short walk to the ancient town. It was also quiet at night, ensuring a good sleep. All in all, I highly recommend staying here.
