Our butler, Zhaxi, was excellent – a very enthusiastic young man. The hotel itself has a wonderful local character. He helped us plan our itinerary and even arranged hotel transportation to and from the attractions. The only minor downsides were that dining within the scenic area was a bit inconvenient and pricey.

We never imagined such a beautiful setting for a hotel! Nestled among the mountains, it was a truly peaceful and quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle. Very comfortable beds. They don't have smart room appliances, which is actually nice because, then, you don't have those bright light switches that I find a bit disturbing for sleep. The hotel restaurant provided delicious and reasonably priced food for all the meals you require (breakfast is complimentary). The hotel exterior looks a bit worn but the interior is very well maintained, both the room and the public spaces. Elegant wood interiors. Worth visiting is the Goddess of Mercy Hall, which is just up the slope. We nearly gave it a miss as we have visited several temples already. Impressively large hall, with beautiful wood interiors and colourful prayer banners.

I had a very satisfying stay here! The room was clean and spacious, with clear views of the snow-capped mountains – when it wasn't too foggy, of course. I've never seen so many wild monkeys up close before; it was an experience you just can't get at a zoo. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
