Shangri-La Yanxu Fuoxi Biyuan (Dukezong Ancient City Shop)

Right in the Old Town, the ambiance is completely different from a modern room, very unique. This was the most satisfying guesthouse I stayed at during my trip to Yunnan. Complimentary milk and coffee. One free airport/train station pick-up or drop-off.

The service was incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. I arrived very late on my check-in day, and they contacted me in advance to help arrange a car into the ancient city. The next day, seeing that I was leaving early, they even prepared breakfast for me. I'm very grateful! The location is excellent, very close to the center of the ancient city, and you can walk to the prayer wheel. The courtyard is quiet and comfortable.

The environment is great, and the common areas are very spacious. They offer a free shuttle service, and the owner is really nice and enthusiastic, actively recommending places to visit. Definitely recommend Shangri-La!

The decor of this place is really unique; I've never stayed in a Tibetan-style accommodation before. The minor downside, as the owner mentioned, is that it's not very soundproof, but it's quite quiet at night. The owners are all young and very interesting. If you enjoy chatting with people, this is a great place to stay and soak in the atmosphere. For introverts, there are plenty of books to read; just grab one and relax in the lobby or sunbathe in the courtyard – perfect for unwinding. They also offer breakfast, so you don't have to go out, which is super convenient.

A guesthouse I'll definitely visit again! The building itself is a traditional Tibetan-style house, and walking in immediately felt incredibly warm and inviting. The courtyard has beautiful flowers and plants, and there's a dog (though unfortunately, I didn't get to meet it). The ladies working there were so welcoming; they not only met our needs but also gave us lots of travel tips, and chatting with them felt like talking to old friends. They also offer free traditional clothing rentals, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, it really felt like a home away from home for travelers, not just a simple guesthouse.

The room was exceptionally clean and, being an old ******* house, offered a very unique stay. I loved it so much I didn't want to leave and ended up extending my stay for ten days. The butler service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They called a day in advance to confirm my itinerary, and upon arrival, there was even a Hada presentation, adding a wonderful touch of ceremony. Yanlu truly makes guests feel at home.

The room decor is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere. The B&B's front desk and common areas are also lovely. The staff at the front desk, both the gentlemen and ladies, provide excellent and very thoughtful service, and they are all polite and engaging. The location is also fantastic, right in the old town, so you can easily explore many delicious food spots as soon as you step out. They also offer beautiful ethnic costumes and warm winter clothes. All in all, it was a wonderful travel experience. ☺️☺️🥰🥰

The room was fantastic, very unique with traditional ******* tatami. The staff at the guesthouse were incredibly welcoming and even arranged a car to pick us up from the high-speed rail station. Everyone, both the guys and girls, was super nice and friendly. I highly recommend staying here; they even offer free ******* clothing to try on!
