Hilton Garden Inn Shangri-La

This Shangri-La hotel offers good value for money. The entire design, from the exterior to the interior, incorporates ******* cultural elements, showcasing the local characteristics. Lucy, the front desk lady, provided excellent service. She informed us about precautions in high altitudes and even thoughtfully pressed the elevator button for us. The hotel also offers airport pickup, but you need to book 24 hours in advance; same-day booking isn't possible. If you need it, be sure to tell the front desk in advance. The lobby also has an oxygen bar, which is fantastic for people experiencing altitude sickness. When we checked out, the front desk staff also kindly bid us farewell. The overall experience was very good.

The service was very warm and attentive. Lucy, who checked us in, was super efficient. The lobby decor had a very distinctive local ethnic feel. You can even get oxygen in the lobby and at the front desk, and the room facilities are complete and well-equipped, which is great!

I stayed for 2 days and was generally disappointed with the quality, which wasn't close to a true Hilton standard. I know it's a Hilton Garden, but the breakfast, though varied, wasn't exceptional – for instance, the coffee machine wasn't working. It's quite far from the city center and the building feels old. Plus, the staff simply doesn't speak English. Otherwise, the rooms are decent if you're not expecting anything new or exceptional.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise during my trip to Shangri-La. The environment is serene and quiet, with a fresh and elegant aroma. The room has good natural light and a nice view, and in the morning, you can enjoy the unique crisp air of the plateau. The amenities are complete, especially the comfortable bedding that allowed for a very peaceful sleep. Honestly, for this price point, having a personal butler service that responds quickly is impressive. My butler, Xiao Fan, deserves a shout-out! Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience, definitely worth staying here.

The room was nice and a good size. The hotel lobby also had a strong ethnic character, and breakfast was plentiful. However, the bathroom had an odor, which needs to be addressed.

The hotel's decor is incredibly unique, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful – great value for money, though it was a bit crowded. When checking out, Xiao Fan even gave us a beautiful souvenir gift!
