Modern hotel. Less than 10 min walk to Long Yan Nan food street, Suning mall & Wang Xiang Cheng mall. Check in service staff are helpful. Free self service laundry and porridge supper. Sound proofing not great, but generally quiet after midnight. Pillows & mattress very comfortable. Robot delivered bottled water to room. However, there is only 1 lift that serves all 4 floors.

My usual stay in Shantou is International Hotel although older but is exceptionally good . This time we decided to try out the newly opened Hampton by Hilton and we were very impressed with its use of latest technology eg : contactless card key which gives direct access to the floor level that one is staying with a swipe of card and prompt response from the housekeeping with the use of robot delivery. The front office staff are very helpful and informative and they helped us to book Didi to our destination when there are no taxis available. The breakfast is varied and good. Of course I still prefer the breakfast at the revolving restaurant on top of International Hotel

UrCove by Hyatt Shantou Hi-Tech The Mixc is located in the Hi-Tech zone Shantou City, adjacent to Longhu District People's Government and Lin Baixin Convention and Exhibition Center. It takes only 15 minutes to drive to Shantou high-speed railway station. The hotel is surrounded by various business districts and office buildings. It is only 12 minutes drive to The Mixc. Which is convenient for you to feel the city vitality and portable traffic in Shantou CBD.

Overall great hotel, centrally located walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Modern classic design that blended into colonial building themed. However, post using the in room amenities, it wasn’t practical.  For example, the washing basin  is rectangular without gradient, hence water wasn’t able to discharge properly. Same as the shower drainage, half way through shower, the tile floor was flooded as drainage was slow (luckily they fix it the day after). Sound proof wasn’t great, my room was near the elevator, I could hear people talking and coming in/out corridor throughout the night!
