Shaoxing Lu Xun's Hometown Adventure - Taoran Hotel (Cangqiao Zhijie Branch)

Breakfast is served on the top floor, offering great views while you dine. Afternoon tea includes fruit, pastries, drinks, and various teas. The amenity kit is well-stocked, but the disposable toilet seat covers aren't suitable for smart toilets.

The hotel facilities are brand new and fully equipped with smart home technology. It's located near Cangqiao Old Street, just a 5-minute bike ride away, and right next door to Luckin Coffee and Zhao Yiming, which is super convenient. The front desk lady was very patient during check-in and even gave us a complimentary amenity kit that included a steam eye mask.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a vibrant nightlife just a few hundred meters from Lu Xun's former residence. There are restaurants and coffee shops right outside the hotel. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, and the front desk service is attentive. I highly recommend it to everyone.

It's also very close to Lu Xun's Former Residence, and parking is convenient. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was very soft and comfortable. Pros: This is an economy hotel. The location is its biggest highlight; it's incredibly convenient for visiting various attractions nearby, very close to Shaoxing Station and the subway. The hotel staff are very friendly. The breakfast is abundant; though it's all basic fare, there's both Chinese and Western options, and a full selection of drinks and yogurt. The rooftop outdoor dining area is very comfortable. Cons: The upgraded rooms (those ending in 10 or 11) have huge pillars inside. Guests planning to stay here should either decline the upgrade or book a higher-grade room. The 'Quiet Elegant King Room (no window)' is extremely small, so small that if the bathroom door is open, you can't walk past it. The bathroom itself is also tiny, with no separate wet and dry areas, and the shower controls are a bit peculiar, making showering inconvenient. Double Self-Service Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea is self-serve in the lobby. There's a dried vegetable pastry (gan cai su bing) that was delicious; I even bought more from a scenic spot later to take home.

The hotel offers breakfast, which is pretty good. Lu Xun's hometown was very crowded, and Shaoxing's food was delicious.
