Shaoxing Kaiyuan Life Hotel (Luxun Hometown Subway Station Cangqiao Straight Street)

This hotel was absolutely terrible! They hiked the prices threefold for the May Day holiday, which I could never justify. There's a limit to how much you can inflate prices! I chose it based on the trusted Kaiyuan brand, and now I'm wondering if I was tricked by the hotel's name. Honestly, I can usually accept some price gouging for a holiday like May Day, but after checking in, I immediately canceled my second night's stay and fled the next morning! After escaping, I booked a 4-star hotel that was better in terms of space and facilities, and even cheaper than this one. It was a steal! Facilities: Only comparable to a budget hotel. Hygene: Everywhere had hygiene issues, from hair and dust to the mouthwash cups – nothing was up to standard. Ambiance: The entire hotel stank. The smell in the elevator was enough to make you nauseous, and the carpet was just appalling! The room constantly reeked of dirty mops and rags, keeping me awake until 3 AM. Service: The check-in staff were stiff and unfriendly, but they were very eager for a good review when I checked out. Even if the service had been great, I would never return to this hotel! It's simply uninhabitable!

The hotel's location is excellent, and the room was very clean when I checked in. I arrived at night, but the view from the window during the day was absolutely stunning. The breakfast offered a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options, which was great. All the hotel staff were very friendly. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance.

The room was clean, hygienic, and comfortable. The location is super convenient, very close to the subway station and tourist attractions. Dining and shopping options are abundant. The front desk staff and housekeeping were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The room was great, and the staff were very friendly. They even gave my child a complimentary breakfast. We enjoyed two days of Shengzhou nian gao, which was delicious. The hotel is conveniently located just one traffic light away from Lu Xun's former residence. The fruits at Baiguoyuan right outside the hotel were also very fresh. All in all, a very good stay.

The hotel's location was super convenient for this trip. There were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, making it easy to get around and explore. The room itself was clean and tidy, and it even had a smart assistant. I also appreciated that the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. Special shout-out to staff member #3, who was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful.

The soundproofing is a bit poor; you can hear doors opening and closing from across the hall. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, and it's easy to hail a taxi. Overall, it offers good value for money.

Perfect for family trips. The family room was cozy and my child loved it. The hotel is conveniently located near Lu Xun's former residence, within easy walking distance. Parking is free and spacious. Staff member number 3 was very enthusiastic and patient. The yellow wine, milk tea, and stinky tofu were delicious. The overall experience was excellent. The room was very clean, with a wet/dry bathroom setup, and large, spacious windows. It also came with a Xiao Ai speaker. Highly recommended for families with children.

We came to Shaoxing with two other families, and this hotel was perfect! It's within walking distance to Lu Xun's Former Residence, which was incredibly convenient. The staff were all very friendly, and most importantly, the rooms were spotless. Plus, having all those Xiaomi smart home appliances throughout the room for this price was an absolute steal! Highly, highly recommend!
