I have no idea who writes positive reviews for this hotel, because it's absolutely dreadful. Having traveled extensively and stayed in hotels of all kinds, I can confidently say this is one of the worst.
We booked a room for a couple with a king-size bed, but instead, we got two single beds. The entire floor and our room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, as if it had been smoked in for years, and damp, musty carpets where people walk with shoes on. This was despite my explicit request for a non-smoking room. The hotel was nearly empty, and the second floor smelled much more pleasant. Yet, it seems our requests were beyond this hotel's capability to accommodate.
The refrigerator hummed loudly all night, making noises as if it were on its last legs, which severely disrupted our sleep. The headboard above the bed was disgustingly dirty; I recoiled from touching it and had to sleep lower down. The bathtub was barely acceptable, and there was mold present. The pool felt like it was pure chlorine.
We paid extra for breakfast and were utterly disappointed. Almost everything was tasteless; the fried eggs were practically raw, and the sausage tasted like paper. The only decent item was the puff pastries.
We had a late check-in, and they wouldn't even allow us to extend our check-out by a couple of hours for an additional fee. They claimed the hotel was fully booked, yet their website showed numerous rooms available for reservation (albeit at full price, of course).
Overall, I absolutely do not recommend staying at this hotel. While its location is close to the beach, the beach itself is undeveloped and quite dirty. If it hadn't been for the non-refundable booking and our late arrival, I would have fled this place in a heartbeat.
