Sunrise Diamond Beach Resort -Grand Select

It's pretty good and spacious, but unfortunately, there's no sea view. The food was decent, and there are plenty of restaurants. However, the paid spa massage services were only average and overpriced.

The room was a bit dated.

We chose the hotel based on reviews. It's a good hotel with a large, well-maintained grounds. Everything is clean. The adult water park is currently undergoing renovations, so the nearby buildings can be a bit noisy during the day. We stayed in building 6. Next to the building is a swimming pool for 16+ guests, perfect for relaxing. Similar areas are available on the beach. The beach has both sand access, which is convenient for small children, and a pier. The reef is decent, and the pier is convenient. There are bars throughout the grounds. They serve decent drinks and don't skimp. There's a selection of meat and fish for lunch and dinner. The entertainment is decent, but not intrusive. They host theme parties. We had a foam party in the large pool. It was fun. In the evenings, there's live music, standard shows in the amphitheater, and for the more discerning, there's a disco.

The public areas were excellent, with drinks available, which was very welcoming to those who enjoy alcohol. The rooms were a bit lacking, but that's typical in Egypt. The snorkeling was so-so, not as good as at the sunrise beach; the waves were quite big here.
