Shenyang ATC Hotel
With over 25 years of travel experience in China, this is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My first impression upon arrival was a huge red flag: there was no hotel name signage on the exterior of the building, making me question if I had even found the right place. Inside, the entire building reeked of stale smoke, and the lobby's cleanliness was appalling, with dirty floors and even uncleaned dishes haphazardly piled up.
Opening the room door was even worse, especially the bathroom. The facilities were incredibly outdated, with rusty pipes and fixtures, and some equipment was completely non-functional. The overall maintenance is severely lacking, and both the cleanliness and hardware conditions fall far short of modern accommodation standards. While the hotel might have historical significance, its current state simply cannot meet the basic needs of travelers. I strongly advise against staying here until a complete renovation is undertaken.
