DoubleTree by Hilton Shenyang

This was our first family trip to Shenyang, and overall it was a good experience. We visited all the places we wanted to see and tried all the local delicacies. I also want to express my gratitude where it's due: thank you Shenyang, thank you Hilton Shenyang, and a special thank you to Hilton Shenyang's 'Bang Da Ying Tao Shui' (a staff member/department, or perhaps a service they offer) for carefully arranging the return of an item my daughter left behind in the hotel via SF Express! 😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣

First off, something I really don't understand is that the important notice in the bathroom is practically invisible on the door. Aren't notices supposed to be seen by guests to provide convenience or warnings? If I hadn't been sitting on the toilet, I wouldn't have seen it! 😓 The power outlets are also incredibly baffling. Doesn't anyone inspect your own room facilities? It's ridiculous when you can't even plug anything in. Then there's the elevator – the floor always has water on it. This is absolutely unbelievable. If you have a pool on the 7th floor, someone should be paying attention to this. You can't just be focused on making money, right? And the downstairs parking lot is a mess. Cars are parked all over the place, and if even one car tries to turn around when entering or exiting, it causes a jam. If you don't want the hassle, just make it one-way: one entrance, one exit, and that's it. The most mind-boggling thing is that luckily I've been to Shenyang before and stayed at other hotels, but it's almost 2026, and I still have to go downstairs myself to pick up takeout! That's just laughable! This is such a big hotel, making so much money all year round. Can't they afford to arrange for a couple of robots? People shouldn't be so fixated on money!

Our stay was very satisfying and cozy. Every time we stay at a DoubleTree, we experience such heartwarming service. A big shout out to Gao Yuanyuan from housekeeping! Her service was incredibly thoughtful; she helped us change rooms and extended our check-out time, which was very considerate. The staff even helped us with our luggage. Our child loved it here!

The hotel was incredibly welcoming, and the service was excellent. Our butler, Gao Yuanyuan, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. We were greeted with adorable towel art upon check-in, and knowing we were on a road trip, she even prepared tissues and water for our car. Absolutely wonderful! 👍🏻

Fantastic room, exceeded expectations! It had a washing machine, a large fridge, a microwave, and a dining table. Overall, a perfect stay, highly recommended!

The hotel's location is great, and Gauss's service attitude is commendable. It's very close to Zhongjie Street, and parking is convenient with both above-ground and underground parking lots. The breakfast selection is also extensive. The lunch buffet is fantastic too! The thoughtful service made us feel very welcome.

I booked this hotel for a business trip, mainly because I wanted to swim. The pool facilities are actually quite good, but it was pretty crowded. I suspect they've outsourced it, as there were many people getting lessons, and some of the swimmers weren't very considerate. My room was on a newly renovated floor, and it was quite spacious with comfortable amenities. I don't come to Shenyang often, but I hope this can become my regular spot in the future. The only drawback is that there's no convenience store or restaurant right in the hotel or nearby; you have to walk a bit to find them.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute taxi ride (about 2 kilometers) from Middle Street, the Forbidden City, and Marshal Zhang's Mansion. The front desk staff and the housekeeping aunties were all incredibly enthusiastic. We even received Hilton's homemade cookies as a welcome gift upon check-in. The front desk lady, knowing we were a family traveling together with mixed luggage, thoughtfully upgraded us to an executive floor connecting room free of charge. This allowed us to move between rooms to get our belongings without having to go out into the hallway, which was incredibly considerate and convenient! We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Shenyang!
