Atour Hotel (Shenyang Middle Street Rose)

The hotel was excellent, with great service and a lovely environment. When we checked out, they thoughtfully gave us a souvenir. The late-night congee service was a nice touch; it was really comforting to have a warm bowl of congee after dinner.

The front desk staff were so welcoming; I really appreciated the warm service from everyone there.

Atour hotels consistently maintain excellent hygiene and provide great service. I particularly love their 'late-night congee' offering—complimentary supper is such a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, the location of this particular Atour Rose hotel is fantastic. It's right in the heart of Zhongjie Street, which means I can pop back to my room for a rest anytime while I'm out exploring the area. Plus, it's very close to the Imperial Palace; I didn't have to walk far at all. During holidays, traffic nearby can be terrible, making public transport quite inconvenient, so staying here is perfect. If you'd like a view, you can opt for a street-view room and catch a glimpse of Zhongjie Street.

The decor in the room felt a bit different from other Atours I've stayed at before; I almost felt like it might have been another hotel previously. The location is great, right next to the subway entrance, and it's in a prime spot in Zhongjie, which also means it's super busy and getting a taxi can be tough. I wasn't offered the complimentary late-night congee or the other two discount perks by the front desk. Breakfast was good. Looking through my photos, I realized I didn't even take any pictures of the room because there was nothing appealing to photograph.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right outside the subway exit. Situated in Zhongjie, it's next to famous local eateries like Lao Bian Dumplings and Li Liangui Pancakes. Shopping is also incredibly convenient. The hotel staff were lovely; they allowed me to check in early since there was a room available.

Service was good, and the location was excellent, but the air conditioning wasn't cooling. It was 30 degrees Celsius, and I was sweating.

The biggest advantage is the location – right on Zhongjie Street, with a subway station downstairs, making it super convenient to get anywhere. You can reach Shenyang Station and Shenyang North High-Speed Rail Station within half an hour by subway. There are plenty of dining options around, whatever you're craving. It's not too noisy at night either (on a higher floor). Shenyang is really great for sightseeing and food! Truly a major city in Northeast China!

I chose this hotel for a getaway to Shenyang, specifically because it's so close to Zhongjie and just a stone's throw from ABC. Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and the breakfast spread was quite generous. However, the housekeeping staff seemed to cut corners when cleaning the room. Compared to other upscale hotels in the same category, the service here is a bit lacking.
