Crystal Orange Hotels in Shenzhen

## A 'Magical' and 'Subtle' Experience Upon arriving at the hotel at 2 PM for check-in, we were informed that the 8th floor was undergoing renovations. Our options were rooms on the 7th or 9th floor, end-of-corridor rooms on the 4th floor, or rooms on the 2nd floor. Knowing beforehand that renovations would be noisy, and having specifically requested to avoid end-of-corridor rooms during booking, we promptly opted for a room on the 2nd floor. The front desk asked us to return in two hours. To our surprise, when we did, we were told our room still wasn't ready. They then suggested we rest in a room on the 9th floor, emphatically assuring us it would be prepared in another half an hour. We went up to the 9th floor room, only to find the renovation noise utterly unbearable while in the restroom. The floor was vibrating, and dust was visibly flying outside the balcony. By this point, it was already past 5 PM. At 7 PM, we returned to the front desk to inquire again, only to find that the shift had changed. The new front desk staff informed us our room was *still* not ready and then tried to twist the narrative, claiming *we* were the ones requesting a room change. From 2 PM to 7 PM, our time was squandered simply waiting. Eventually, the hotel manager intervened, offering a fruit platter and agreeing to a late check-out until 3 PM the following day. Yet, at 12 PM the next day, the front desk called to remind us to check out. After further communication, they surprisingly still asked me to leave a positive review. At 2 PM, I went to collect my laundry. Upon returning, I found my room key no longer worked; the system had already registered our check-out. While the hotel did offer a fruit platter and a souvenir, having stayed in numerous Huazhu Group hotels across major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, this 'Orange Crystal' property fell far short of even a standard Orange Hotel. I was genuinely very disappointed. It felt like they weren't focused on ensuring a comfortable stay for guests, but rather on how to gloss over issues once they arose. That's the lasting impression this hotel left on me. The attached photo shows two goji berries left by the previous guest, which I discovered on the sink after finally getting into our room at 8 PM. How 'festive' – a symbol of reunion from the previous guest.

Requested check in early due to morning flight. The hotel allowed us to check in as early as 6am without additional charge. The laundry is good and free, we can even leave the clothes washing with instructions. A very thoughtful hotel and now we heading to another Crystal Orange Hotel in Foshan, hopefully as good as in Shenzhen

Having stayed at an Orange Hotel for an extended period during a previous business trip, I was generally quite satisfied. However, there were a few points that could be improved: 1. The parking directions/signage were insufficient or unclear. 2. The room door had to be shut with considerable force to lock properly; otherwise, it would make a warning sound. 3. No information about breakfast was provided during check-in. I suggest placing a small card with details in the room.

After a morning hike by the sea, I decided to book a room for a few hours to unwind, and the experience was fantastic: 1. **Stunning Design:** True to Orange Crystal's signature style, the hotel, from the lobby to the guest rooms, is filled with clever designs that are modern, minimalist, yet infused with an artistic flair. 2. **Comfortable Room:** The bedding was very comfortable. The pillows had just the right height and firmness, and both the duvet and mattress were wonderfully soft to the touch. 3. **Smart Room Controls:** The smart curtains open and close with a single touch, which is very convenient and greatly enhances the overall ease of use.

My stay at Orange Crystal Hotel this time exceeded all my expectations! The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was drawn in by its unique decor and artistic atmosphere. The refreshing orange scent permeating the air was incredibly soothing. The room itself was both cozy and exquisitely furnished. The bedding was so soft and comfortable, making it hard to leave the bed. The bathroom featured a convenient wet/dry separation, and the high-quality toiletries were a pleasure to use. The staff provided incredibly thoughtful service; I was so thrilled when they even offered a complimentary room upgrade during check-in! The hotel's location is superb, with plenty of dining options and shopping centers nearby, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. I highly recommend Orange Crystal Hotel and will definitely choose it again for my next trip!

Except for the remote location and no chain restaurants or convenience stores nearby, the hotel overall is quite good and the hygiene is OK, but the air conditioning is a bit cold. The hotel room can see the sea view and the sunset, which can be regarded as making up for other deduction points.

The hotel's location is super convenient – just a short walk to the metro station, making it a breeze to get around. The rooms were spotlessly clean, with soft, comfy bedding, and the smart home features made the stay absolutely fantastic. But the absolute highlight was the front desk staff, especially the ladies, who were incredibly sweet and helpful. They even offered complimentary earplugs and eye masks, which was such a thoughtful touch!
