I compared many hotels before booking, and finally chose Shangri-La Nanshan. The result was very disappointing. This is the first negative review I've given on Ctrip in many years, and it's for Shangri-La Nanshan. Any points I get are going to the concierge.
My child and I stayed for four nights in total. We arrived from Hong Kong Disneyland a bit early, around 11 AM. They said there were no rooms available and we'd have to wait, or we could upgrade to an executive room for immediate check-in. Since we were traveling with a child and usually eat breakfast out and only return to the hotel to sleep, spending very little time there, I declined the executive room upgrade and didn't want to pay the difference. The front desk staff seemed annoyed, and throughout our stay, the hotel offered no service whatsoever. I never saw the butler service that others mentioned in their reviews. At night, the nightlight would always turn on by itself, which felt very eerie 😰. Then, on our last day, checking out at 7 AM, which isn't that early, there was no one at the front desk. The concierge found someone after about five minutes. I had informed them the day before that I needed two packed breakfasts with coffee and milk to be left at the front desk. When I opened the breakfast, I just laughed in disbelief: two breakfasts consisted of only three tiny mini-breads, one cup of milk, and one Yakult. The coffee was nowhere to be found. All in all, the experience was extremely poor. This is my first negative review, and it's for you guys.
