Yun Xiaoxi Rest area

The location is unbeatable, right inside the terminal, making early morning flights a breeze. However, the sleep quality was very poor. The soundproofing was weak; I could clearly hear people walking around next door, cabin doors opening and closing, and conversations, which disturbed me throughout the night. The blackout was also poor; the cabin lights couldn't be completely turned off, keeping the environment bright all night. Light sleepers will find it almost impossible to get any rest. It's only suitable for a short stopover; I wouldn't recommend it for an overnight stay.

I initially thought it was just a small space with a pull-out sofa bed, but it wasn't. ① At best, it's a reclining chair, which is one drawback; ② Another drawback is that it's extremely noisy; ③ A third drawback is that the blinds on the ceiling offer no blackout, so bright light shines directly overhead (I have no idea what the designer was thinking?). They could have easily placed it at the foot end, but instead, it completely prevents you from sleeping all night. And they charge over ¥300/night! Honestly, besides being able to charge your devices, it's no different from sleeping on a public bench outside. I definitely won't be staying here again. I arrived in Shenzhen very late and was already exhausted. I originally planned to use the free overnight rest area, but it was full, so I came here instead. I have to say, the two female front desk staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they helped me out a lot!

The location is quite convenient, right upstairs from the departure hall, but it's actually in a small, cramped booth in a corner of the arrival hall. It's not well-ventilated, so it was stuffy and hot when I first went in. It wasn't hot when I slept at night, but the airport construction was a bit noisy. It's suitable for a 1-2 hour rest, but not really for overnight stays. It would be better value for money to stay at a hotel closer to the airport for a night.

Although the space is small, the chairs are very comfortable. Given the environment and the airport situation, this setup is excellent. The soundproofing is average, but it's a reasonable design since ventilation is also needed. Overall, it's a good fit. Booking in advance is the most convenient and suitable option.

Overall, it was a good experience. It would have been perfect if there was an extra comforter.

Good experience. I personally think it's quite decent, especially suitable for travelers arriving late at night or having early flights. It's located on the 2nd floor of the terminal building. If you're petite, curling up on the sofa can be very comfortable. With lights and ventilation from the ceiling, it doesn't feel stuffy at all.

The soundproofing isn't great, it's fine for a quick stopover.
