The surroundings weren't great. The room was quite cramped, and even though I booked a twin room, I was given a triple room, which made the space feel even smaller. What was even more surprising was the window; it looked big in the pictures but was actually tiny, leading to poor air circulation.

The hotel is far from the pics advertised. It’s an old place that has been renovated long time ago. My room had no window, and you could find hairs that weren’t mine. The hotel is catered to smokers, I’m not so I suffered. But that’s all around Asia. There are more cigarette smokers than none. They provide water(several 👍), an electric kettle, a tea cup and glasses. Also they provide nice towels. The bed is as hard as possible. Is hurts your bones… Nobody speaks English or another language. So the translation app is a necessity. The hotel is close to the metro station but far from most attractions. It will take an hr to get to Futian, a very touristic area if the city. But the city is big so, most locations are far away. The neighborhood is blue collar and very industrial, although there are malls, restaurants and things to see.
