Pengrunda Hyde Hotel Shenzhen

I used a Ctrip upgrade voucher and got a room upgrade to a 'Deluxe King'. The room had excellent views, beautiful scenery, and I could even watch the sunrise. However! The room wasn't clean; the table and coffee table hadn't been wiped, and there were grease marks from the previous guest's food. The water quality was terrible. The second picture shows the water drawn that evening – it was clearly yellowish. When I called engineering, they insisted there was nothing wrong with the water, claiming it was just the bathtub reflecting. Still, I didn't dare to use it. The next morning, there was a layer of limescale floating on the water. The price definitely doesn't match the hygiene. There was also a urine smell from the grasscloth wallpaper, and I felt itchy all over while sleeping. In one word: unbelievable.

The rooms were clean and the air conditioning was very strong. Service was prompt and efficient. Our room had a great view of Shenzhen Bay. The hotel's location is excellent, right near the subway station, Shenzhen Bay, and Poly Theater, making it super convenient for getting around. Very satisfied!

The room is very spacious, and the two 1.5-meter beds in the twin room are huge, perfect for a family trip. The hotel's location right next to MixC World is fantastic, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making dining very convenient. It's also close to Talent Park. I highly recommend staying here!

This hotel is incredibly convenient and well-thought-out, offering excellent value for money. Located right at Exit F of Houhai Subway Station, it boasts seamless subway access. The hotel entrance is rather inconspicuous; you take an elevator to the 13th floor for the lobby, and then switch elevators to reach your room, which adds a good layer of security. The room views are fantastic! Not only can you see the 'Big Corn' (a local landmark), but you can even spot the Shenzhen Bay Bridge. Surrounded by MixC Mall and Houhai Hui, it's in the heart of the most bustling area. Talent Park is just a short walk away, where you can stroll along the coastline and see the mangroves. We booked a room with two 1.5-meter wide beds, separated by a small nightstand. They could easily be pushed together to form a super-wide 3-meter bed, perfect for adults traveling with children. A particularly thoughtful feature is the separate small partition between the room's outer corridor and the bathroom, creating an additional door. This means early risers or those who want to stay up later won't disturb anyone sleeping in the main bedroom. While the decor seems simple, it includes heated mirror cabinets, a vanity mirror with a stool, a portable full-length mirror, and a safe, among other amenities. The outdoor view from the window is spectacular. The pool on the 12th floor feels like a sky pool, offering breathtaking scenery. From your window, you can even watch drones take off for food deliveries. Check-in and check-out were both very quick. Robot delivery service was efficient, and the overall service was excellent; they even accommodated a late check-out for me. Everything was great, including the cleanliness. It's definitely the top choice for business travelers or those needing transitional accommodation!

The public areas are meticulously maintained. The guest rooms have good lighting and ventilation, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The bed linens are neat and dry, perfect for unwinding after a long journey. Ellen provided thoughtful and attentive service, responding promptly to requests with a gentle and patient demeanor. The hotel's location is superb, very close to Shenzhen Bay Port, making it convenient to travel to Hong Kong. The surrounding commercial district is well-equipped, offering easy access to dining and shopping. The soundproofing in the rooms is good, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom features a dry and wet separation, and the overall environment is tidy and elegant. It offers great value for money, suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.
