Shimoda Ocean Park Htel

It's nice, with hot springs and other amenities, but the facilities feel a bit outdated. However, basic services are available. It's across the street from the beach, very close to convenience stores, and a bit far from the city center but very close to bus stops. If you have time, I recommend checking out the nearby Tsurugi-zaki.

Great value. Beautiful location, delicious food. The indoor bath was too hot! It would have been even better if there was an open-air bath, what a shame! 😂😂😂

The environment and facilities are pretty average, but the location is decent, there are hot springs, and it's fairly convenient to get around. However, the Shimoda Hotel is really too expensive during holidays; you can get a much better place for that price elsewhere. Here are some pictures of Shirahama Beach, it's a lot of fun!

There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, which is very convenient for going to Shirahama Beach and Tsumekizaki. The food was mainly fish and fresh, but the miso soup was a little salty and the drinks seemed a little pricey. The room had a calming, old-fashioned atmosphere, but the lighting was a little dim. I think it would be more comfortable if the air conditioning and the hot water in the bathroom were improved. Rates are higher during the Obon period, so it is recommended to stay on weekdays.

The staff were very kind and we had a relaxing time. Also, all the food was delicious and the kids were very satisfied. I'd love to stay here again!

The room is very spacious, with a view of the sea from the window and a distant view of the Mikoto Motoshima Lighthouse. The room has a private bathroom and toilet, and there's also a hot spring bath on the second floor. Unbeatable value for money!
