Shrewsbury Town Centre

Room looking very tired mould on bathroom ceiling rust on towel rail, chips on paint work, stains on sofa bed.  Heating didn’t work very cold room meant poor sleep , But overall clean  Large Queue at check in with very miserable staff.  Good town centre location.

Located very close to train station, I was very dissspointed with the room for the money paid The room was outdated, had a smell to it (dusty /dirty smell), the window and window seal were dirty, the bathroom was not clean, the amenities .. lacking in presentation.. felt a real urge to get out of there

No clear directions to car park.Wanted to charge £2 to leave our case until check in.Only 1 person at check in and manning the bar.Meals not available. Some staff rude and unhelpful.Won't be returning

Very central and an easy walk to everywhere in town. Room was acceptable in this price range. Don't bother with the hotel car park. I used the Frankwell Main car park just across the river and crossed over the footbridge - less than 5 minutes walk to the hotel. 2 nights/3 days over the weekend was £17 compared to £42 had I used the hotel park.

The exterior of the building is just awful .Basically next to a building site .Our hearts sank on first view the exterior is basically filthy.For the price we paid it was more than disappointing. The hotel itself thankfully was fine inside.Due to self service check in ,we found the parking and general information for breakfast etc confusing.The bar was basic unfortunately not draught available on our stay either . The rooms were clean though , reception and food area smart ,staff when we saw them friendly.The breakfast was really great ,best part of the stay . If we had paid a normal price for a budget hotel I would not have the issues.On contracting customer relations after our stay ,I just got generic reply and no goodwill offered not even a complimentary breakfast . Shrewsbury interesting,found a lovely pub on the river called the Boathouse.
