Mytton and Mermaid - Brunning and Price

Disabled Law not complied with. We have visited this establishment's restaurant numerous times and suffered the same problem - NOISE. This venue has been refurbished and those responsible have failed to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act by making reasonable adjustments during the work. For people like myself, who are partially deaf (a recognised disability) the excessive noise created by a lack of sound absorbing materials makes sitting through an otherwise nice meal a torment. Background NOISE just makes hearing impossible - even with hearing aids. The management of this establishment needs to consider its position. I understand that the Armoury in Shrewsbury is another of their restaurants - we no longer go there because of the same problem.

Fantastic service, from our arrival until we left the team were warm and friendly. Service was the right measure of professionalism without being over bearing just constantly there when you wanted them. The food was perfectly cooked and there was a large selection of dishes. Beautifully looked after and a lovely lunch thank you very much to Stuart and the team

came after leaving another venue due to poor behaviour by the manager to his staff, so we hadn't booked and wasn't sure we would get a table . They were busy but we had a drink and then got us seated. the servers were very efficient and friendly didn't catch the name f the young lady but she was very good. Food was lovely and we really should come more often - I will book next time

Fabulous staff and service excellent just a little steep on prices of spirits but very welcome Team were happy and very quick to serve Attention to detail Toilets and bar except clean and well maintained Loved our visit as so friendly and happy staff

My husband and I were very pleased to have been invited to the opening night last summer and everything was exceptional from the welcome, the service, the presentation of the food and the excellently cooked and delicious food. We have been for meals almost on a monthly or sometimes more a frequent basis and all the above mentioned qualities seemed to be consistent. Unfortunately, our more recent visits have not been very good and all the previous merits have noticeably deteriorated which is such a shame as we feel that we do not want to have any further disappointment in the quality of the service and the food and we have stopped having our regular visits. We just hope that if the Mytton Mermaid are having staffing problems or any other problems that they can be remedied very soon by Stuart and his crew and restore the service to how it was in the beginning. We really would love to enjoy our visits to the Mytton Mermaid once again.

Woooo what a beautiful place set right next to the river. Really nice restaurant and bar. Brilliant menu and great choice of beers and wines. Fantastic food and very good service. Staff really went the extra step to help us. Food was fantastic and very good value

Worse service I have ever had 75 minutes after ordering no mains where served went to speak to front of house and was told they had a big table in that’s what was taking so long Meal arrived some 10 minutes later Food was very good 👍 We decided not to have a dessert as we hadn’t booked a room for the night and definitely wanted to be home before midnight So we asked for the bill Tick tick no one appeared So had to yet go and ask to have the bill When I asked why no one bothered to inform us that the food would be over a hours wait the front of house informed me that they didn’t know !

We booked a party of 9 for lunch. 2 dogs came as well, so we were provided with a table in the bar. All very comfortable and welcoming. The service was excellent - unobtrusive and good natured. Our orders came within a good time, and at all stages - starters, main and sweet arrived without long waits or fragmented delivery. The quality of the food was exceptional. All we needed was a lovely spring day - but not many have been treated to that this year!

Excellent Mother’s Day lunch in private dinning room. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive. Even though we were away from the restaurant in a private room we were not forgotten. Starters mains and desserts all fresh and delicious. All options on the menu 2 were available despite 2pm sitting on Mother’s Day . We were a party of 12 well looked after in a beautiful room. Really can’t fault anything . Is the bill wasn’t too bad either good value .
