Hotel Apollo Central

Cheap but good value and great location. It’s a cheap hotel in a great location with free onsite parking. What’s not to like. Not luxurious but clean comfortable warm with plenty of hot water for showers etc. you are getting what you pay for and it’s good value for what it is.

Room was cold. No possibility to turn on the heat. Also the hot water was only warm ( kind of) Staff was friendly, and helpful.

A smallish hotel within a few minutes walk of the historic centre. A variety of rooms. Ours had a small balcony. Small double bed, good en-suite shower, kettle. All clean and comfortable. Great choice at breakfast. But what really made it was the friendly, helpful staff. I’d come again.

Simple, pleasant, friendly. This is a nice unpretentious hotel close to the rail and bus stations and about 15 minutes walk to the old town. It was a little old-fashioned but that was charming. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and was clean and well presented. The member of staff at reception was friendly and courteous and quickly switched to excellent English to help us check in. This is a simple, good value hotel so manage your expectations and enjoy it. Maybe worth mentioning that there's no lift/elevator - it's only 3 storeys high but those with mobility issues should check before booking

Good room, 10min walk to the center.

15 years ago I had the best ever party of New Year's Eve at this hotel/restaurant. Nery nice and trendy rooms, well equipped. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I came back exactly after 15 years: the rooms were the same, but tired and beyond the history, a persistent bad smell in the bathroom, the staff very unhappy and not welcoming visitors. Two words: bad experience!

We had 3 rooms in total and 2 of them had to be moved 3 times for different reasons. Either the showers won't drain, or the AC didn't work or the toilet won't flush. It was very inconvenient.

Nice accommodation near the historic center (about 10 minutes by walking).
