From the Moment we arrived at the airport in Lombok, until they packed us off7 days later at the same airport, we were pampered, cared for, looked after, entertained and overall made to feel like family. This may be easy at some places, but at a 5 star, Diamond level resort, getting the kind of attention, experiences, personal caring and touches, was a complete surprise! The Resort is spectacular with some of the largest Villa suites, with incredible views, incredible appointments and comfort. The resort is able to keep this 5 star service and quality appearance, yet simultaneously making you feel like you are on a private Balinese, Boutique island resort with no care in the world. The managers of each of the departments made it a point to come by and assure our satisfaction. And in a country where having employment is treasured, these professional staff members reflect the excellence and caring that this Brand of Hotels is all about. The special service and car given by everyone to make our stay amazing was appreciated. The General Manger was warm and welcoming, making his presence known for us to know he was involved and knew we were there. Our only regret, was not being able to stay longer. This was the first Oberoi Hotel we have visited.....this will not be the last, but the remainder of them will be hard pressed to live up to our expectations now that we have experienced this Lombok treasure!
