Hotels near Summit of Sigiriya Rock Mountain, Sigiriya

Wonderful experience with great hospitality

Great place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable.

Very friendly owners in a tranquil setting. A very good price all you need for you basic needs, the swimming pool is an added bonus

Clean in all directions, super cost-effective, worth recommending

It is closer to a Korean pension than a hotel. It appeared to be family-run, and it is a small-scale accommodation consisting of several independent buildings with a total of four rooms. Looking out the window from the room, you get the feeling of being in the middle of a jungle. I booked this place because it is a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Lion Rock, but I used an Uber because I heard that the area could be dangerous due to wildlife before it is fully light out. I called an Uber at 5:30 AM, and it arrived quickly. (It is about 4 km away if you take the detour via the main road. Actually, it is walkable.) The restaurant is open until approximately 9 PM, so I was able to have dinner without having to look for other restaurants nearby, and breakfast was also provided. Overall, the food was excellent, and breakfast was served in a style similar to Sri Lankan home cooking; it was delicious and a great experience.

Convenient location, 15 minutes to the main attractions of Sigiriya. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, delicious breakfast with a view of the rock. The price is great, we recommend. Thank you!)
