SoonNoeng Resort

The resort is right next to the pier but still very calm and quiet. The beach is nice there even though not the best beach area in the whole island.

Pros: the location just near one of the ports, have its own swimming pool eventhough the beach just in front, so have the option to use either the pool or the beach. We were given the pool view although i booked the garden view which is A-okay for me. Breakfast is simple but have varieties like egg station, soup section, various breads, american breakfast, khmer local foods, fruits, juices, coffee, tea. Good barbeque from 6pm with fresh seafoods choices. They also have friendly and accommodating staff. Prices from resto is reasonable. Cons: bathroom/showerroom not that clean, weak water coming from the shower, shampoo and body wash smell not good. The music from the bar disrupt the supposed to be serenity of the location. I was not able to sleep until midnight when they usually ends it. In summary, will still go back with my kids on the next summer.

Bit of a mixed bag at this place but with some easy tweaks it could be perfection. Good : Location, beach is clean, food is tasty, bar prices are good and Nas the bar manager makes a great cocktail, breakfast is plentiful and varied, pool is clean, sun beds, towels and paddleboards are available. Bioluminescence plankton is visible but you have to swim out away from the bright resort lights. Bad : Room type Beach View Villa - Lots of mosquitos in the room as the bathroom is not sealed, would be good if they gave you a net for the bed and room spray as I got badly bitten overnight. Wifi is really bad, you only have 1 plug socket for the entire room which isn't next to the bed, the lights are either all on or all off (the wall lights are decoration apparently so aren't wired up) and again the switch isn't near the bed, and you have nowhere to hang clothes or swim wear to dry, a line or rack would be really useful. Basically without tweaks the beachfront villa are overpriced. The staff were incredibly helpful when trying to resolve issues. I would return but would book a Sea View Room which are slightly cheaper, sealed and had great WiFi.

My family stayed here on recommendation and absolutely loved it!! Beautiful beach, pool, and island life. Max the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Before we even arrived he helped us with arranging things and gave useful tips for our trip. All the staff was kind and helpful. My only disappointment was it seemed difficult for the staff to stay up with beach towels, but I understand the place was full while we were there. The bathroom was also not great, but appropriate for a beach front hotel. The free stand up paddle boards and volleyball/badminton nets are fun (wish they had a ball though) Would definitely stay again

Overall, a pretty nice resort on a Cambodian island. While the employees can be a little slow and inattentive, they get the job done. Breakfast is ok and the food is pretty good. My room was clean and reasonably comfortable. If you want to go somewhere and sit on the beach and have drinks, this place is ideal - calm atmosphere, comfortable beach chairs, and beautiful ocean. The resort is on one end of a large beach and you can walk 20-30 minutes down to a store and a few other establishments. This place also has a good pool that is surprisingly deep. I was there by myself, but I think it’s best for families or couples (there were other single people at the resort and on the beach). I would have no problems staying here again.

Great location with a brand new pool as well. Double price on beers then anywhere else on the island. Quite a few mosquitoes in the villas and staff can not see the shelves when cleaning but we could see all the dead mosquitoes .

Beautiful island hotel with an excellent atmosphere. The service is outstanding: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms are clean and well maintained, everything feels fresh and thoughtfully organized. The only minor downside is that the beds are a bit uncomfortable. Aside from this, everything is at a very high level, and the overall experience is excellent.
