Hotel Seemöwe

Location is in the middle of no where, the photos down stairs are lovely, this does not extend to upstairs though. My room 326 was old, dirty, shower did not work properly and was tepid at best, I would not have chosen this hotel if not on a package. The room was old, outdated and an employee of the hotel staying in the next guest room kept me up twice in a week with non stop open watts app phone calls. Food was terrible, chucked on the table and you had to serve yourself, and there was not even a toaster at breakfast. Very poor hotel in all.

At breakfast manager was complaining people were not respecting the tables (I don't know what he meant) there was used plates and cutlery on the tables, they wouldn't move them. The worst thing was the bed, after getting there late, went straight to bed, got up in the morning and found used tissues under the pillow so they hadn't changed the sheets from the last occupants, disgusting 🤢 told a member of staff.

This review is of the restaurant only. The hotel site is opposite the lake and depending where you are seated can give lovely views of the lake. Our server was excellent and spoke limited English which complemented our limited German.He even went out of his way and obtained an off menu item . The menu choice was fairly average but the food was nicely cooked and presented and there was plenty of it

Fabulous ........stayed here for four nights with Leger. Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting by the lake. Spotlessly clean, lovely helpful staff. My room was amazing - very big with king size bed and a single bed, table and chairs, flat screen tv - and still plenty of room. Lovely en suite with large shower cubicle (good, hot shower) and twin basins. Warm and cosy, felt very at home. Balcony with table and chairs, with lovely views at the back of the building. Very quiet too. First time that I have stayed in a hotel with a pond of Koi in the reception area! No choice of menu but food was very nice. Good selection at breakfast. Can't recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely be back ..........

Leger coach trip to Germany for the New Year, staying at the Hotel Seemowe near Simmerath, we had a great crowd on our coach and the drivers Andy and Sonia were brilliant, I would recommend booking a Leger holiday they do some great locations and great trips.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay on a shoe string then this is your place. I am a single traveller and allocated Room 302. Tiny room with even smaller shower room. Very dated. Bed collapsed during first night’s stay..slats were not fastened to bed frame and moved when trying to get comfortable, as a result mattress saggy. Pillow was a strange triangular shape and very lumpy. Curtains only covered a small window area leaving huge gaps each side. Reported broken bed to Receptionist with an assurance it would be looked at, it was not, so spent next two nights with terrible sleep. Breakfast was typically cereal, selection of breads, meats and cheeses, overall a good selection. Evening meals were Pre set in my case. Food was not particularly tasty nor appetising. Drinks can be ordered and paid for at your table , there is no bar as such. I requested a hot chocolate one evening and was abruptly told that it was not cold enough to serve chocolate..bizarre.

Stayed here via Ledger Holidays. Check in was very fast and efficient. Room was a reasonable size with a Good size balcony overlooking the water. Bed was reasonably comfortable but pillows were extremely soft. Bathroom was OK with a reasonable size shower with average water pressure, but very slow to drain. Overall the room was OK, but was in need of a refurbishment to get away from the 1980s decor. Breakfast was good with a fair selection of meats and cheeses. As well as fresh fruits, yoghurts and cereals. Evening meals were a reasonable. Overall a pleasant stay in a reasonable hotel.

We stayed here on a leger holiday lovely hotel by the lake very clean bed was comfortable staff was very polite breakfast was very good would definitely recommended this hotel had a balcony what was very nice would definitely stay again
