The Outpost Hotel Sentosa by Far East Hospitality

The hygiene was excellent, and the service was great! The hotel's pool was very clean, and we received some delicious snacks upon check-in. The breakfast was Western style; it wasn't extensive, but it was enough to fill us up.

This time, I booked a deluxe sea-view room, and the window offers a direct view of the ocean. Plus, there's even an open-air cinema downstairs! 🎬 The pool area is also divided into two: the 7th floor has an adult pool, and the 3rd floor has a kids' pool, which is a big plus because it keeps everyone from being crowded together! It's perfect for someone like me who enjoys peace and quiet. Coincidentally, it was my birthday 🎂 on the day I checked in. The hotel even prepared a small cake and a card for me – I was incredibly touched! 🥹🤍 In the evening, you can have dinner directly at the Rooftop on the 7th floor, and you can even watch fireworks while you eat! 🎆

Absolutely loved this hotel! The compact space was incredibly stylish, with a black and white design that felt chic, minimalist, and youthful. The price was also reasonable and fair. Its location was excellent, just a 7-8 minute walk from the beach. I stayed for 3 nights, and on the second day, there was a cleaning issue, which the hotel promptly resolved with a great attitude. The only downside was that the largest pool was under renovation, which wasn't mentioned when booking on Trip.com. However, there was another set of smaller pools, and the kids had a blast.

The pool was great fun, but due to cultural differences, people would just walk in with their shoes on, and the water didn't look very clean. There were no kids' toothbrushes or slippers in the room, so you need to bring your own. I had requested a room with a firework view from the hotel early on, and I forgot to mention it again when checking in. But they still arranged it for me in the end, thank you very much! ❤️

Not very satisfied with this sea view room. I booked a deluxe sea view room, but there was a huge obstruction in front of it. Looking out the window, to the left was an open-air cinema, and to the right was some kind of service center or hall, so there wasn't much of a sea view to enjoy. Some of the USB power outlets in the room were broken and had no power. I tried to use a domestic adapter in a regular socket, but it tripped the circuit breaker immediately, which was quite a scare. I stayed for three nights, and on the second day, the sink got clogged... It was just one issue after another. The swimming pool is shared by several hotels; guests from each hotel can access it with their key cards. The infinity pool offers a nice view. The beach isn't far, just a short stroll away. The location is alright.

I had specifically requested a twin room via email, but upon arrival, they told us it wasn't available and we had to take a king-size bed room instead. That was quite disappointing. Other than that, for a one-night transit stay, the hotel was acceptable. Getting a taxi was very inconvenient, and the service attitude was mediocre, with the front desk staff being a bit aloof.

The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable. I wasn't as good at English as I thought, and struggled with communication during check-in. However, they went above and beyond, using Google Translate to assist me thoroughly. Even the security guard near the parking lot patiently and kindly gave me directions when I asked. I also really appreciated the welcome snacks and the hotel's special chocolate drink I received upon check-in. Throughout my stay, I could also get drinks in a pineapple-shaped container in the lobby. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, which was great. The room had a coffee machine, and I loved the strong airflow of the hairdryer. The separate toilet and shower room was also a big plus! Adjusting the water temperature was easy too! The location is excellent, with USS, the beach, and the nearest station all within walking distance. However, I opted for a room with a good view, but it was nothing special at all. I really regret not choosing a cheaper room instead. Also, the breakfast menu is a bit problematic. There's a lack of variety. There wasn't much fruit, and the menu itself was quite limited... Food is important! *Saw peacocks all over the place.
