Carlton Hotel Singapore

I'm incredibly grateful for the service provided by Hotel Manager Ben. On our check-in day, he learned it was my husband's birthday and generously upgraded us to a suite for free, along with complimentary breakfast and a birthday cake. It was such a wonderful surprise, making for an unforgettable night. The location of Carlton Hotel is excellent, directly opposite Raffles City shopping mall and Chijmes. Everything is within walking distance, with plenty of restaurants and options for a drink or two in the evening. So convenient!

Too sharp, I can't imagine what would happen if a child hit their head. The hotel offered no compensation or feedback, and the service attitude was not good. I do not recommend it.

The hotel room is very spacious, which is truly rare to find in Singapore. The breakfast is just so-so for Chinese tastes, but the yogurt was really delicious. The location is prime and you can walk everywhere, which is fantastic.

I used to be a regular at this hotel, but had a bad experience earlier this year (I requested a room away from the elevator, but the front desk ignored my note and put me right next to a noisy one, making it impossible to sleep. When I asked to switch, they claimed they were fully booked)! I stayed here again this month, and (likely because I had previously complained) I was given the runaround for a full half-hour at check-in. First, they said a smoking room was available. A few minutes later, the front desk agent claimed they had to personally go upstairs to check the room (for a 5-star hotel, why is the front desk staff running up to inspect rooms?). When they came back down, they told me the smoking room was no longer available and gave me a non-smoking room on the top floor instead. (Did they do this on purpose?) The room turned out to be extremely noisy, and I didn't sleep a wink all night! The next day, I spoke to a manager at the front desk who promised to look into it and get back to me. They never did... This hotel completely ignores Chinese guests. I'm shocked a hotel like this exists in Singapore. I strongly advise against staying at this irresponsible Carlton Hotel! On top of that, the room cleanliness was appalling! There were long strands of some woman's hair in the shower, and the toilet wouldn't even flush properly. I have no idea how this hotel justifies charging over 2,000 RMB a night. Management seriously needs to investigate this!

Overall, the hotel is quite good. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. I would definitely choose it again for my next visit. The only downsides were being assigned a low-floor room and a bit of noise.

Every time I visit Singapore, I stay at the Carlton Hotel. Everything about it – the facilities, the environment, breakfast, accessibility, and proximity to attractions – is truly excellent. I highly recommend it to everyone coming to Singapore.

The location is excellent and very convenient, with a mall directly across the street and many restaurants nearby. The bed was comfortable, and both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers several dining options to choose from.
