Malay lady at check in counter looks uninterested and was coughing at the check in counter without wearing a mask, which is dampener number 1. This risk spreading disease to hotel guests. Also, while fair game and platform-based, the non-refundable clause in trip.com for this hotel post booking resulted in me paying around $110 more than the lowest rate i could have booked, further dampening our experience at the hotel. Amenities at the hotel is sparse, with only a nominal-aesthetically pleasing looking swimming pool and a gym room and a breakfast cafe area in house. Proximity to hotel is a plus though.

Very close to the airport, both by car and MRT. Very clean as well. Close to outlet if you’re into shopping and food. Only about 30min to the city.

We stayed at Dorsett Changi City Singapore in August for a family staycation, but unfortunately, our experience was far from relaxing. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room on a level undergoing renovation. The corridors had a strong, unpleasant smell of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which was concerning—especially as we were travelling with young children.
We immediately requested a room change and were moved to a lower level where no renovation was taking place. While we appreciated the prompt room change, we felt the hotel should have been more considerate in the first place. Guests should not be placed near active renovation areas where air quality and safety could be compromised.

Hotel location is good. It's near changi airport and it's right beside changi city point mall. The room is clean and well maintained. Pillows could be better though.
During check In, we were told that the hotel will have a shutdown from 12am to 4am and if we would like to proceed with the check in. (We were reluctant to proceed as wife is pregnant and we already planned this for our birthday celebration). Hotel admin could've told us earlier regarding this annual shutdown (no electricity, Aircon, ventilation etc) but they mentioned that the annual shutdown was a "last minute plan", which was questionable.
We decided to proceed as we had already travelled to the hotel and hotel gave us late check out at 2pm. The next day after 12pm, hotel personnel asked/called me a total of 3 times to ask what time I am checking out and asked if I am extending my stay. Apparently, the staff did not update our late check out in their system. This could be improved on their side instead of disturbing the guest.
