I had a good stay at The Pod Singapore. The Malay male receptionist was very kind and helpful. I arrived early in the morning, and he showed me around the dorm. The hotel also allowed me to use a bathroom before check-in at 3 PM.
The location is great. Sultan Mosque and many food places are within walking distance. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe staying here.
Bugis Mall is only about 8 minutes away on foot. There are also many halal food options nearby.
I would definitely stay here again when I visit Singapore.
Dalam toilet ada sediakan iron juga kalau siapa nak iron tudung or baju senang!alhamdulillah.

1st time trying capsule hotel in singapore, it's cleaner than expected, and nice lobby ammenities. Hot water also available all time, with good water pressure too. No showerheas tho, only rainfall shower. My only problem is that it's hard for me to feel rested. Perhaps I am unlucky, my room single suit pod, that was assigned to me is different than ordered picture whereas it's "open" on the end side, not the length side like in pics. Furthermore it's at the end of the hall so it felt a bit like suffocating coffin per se. Then on the matter of soundproofing.. very minimum. Earplug is provided, but it wont help with the bumps and vibrations of machines. My room is at the end of hall, and beside the utilities room perhaps? At 6am+ cleaning workers will start, and I can no longer rest in that state.. every sound vibration travels to that "coffin" bed so yeah.. unless u can treat it as white noise, can easily wake one up.
Overall it's worth the price and cleanliness, but next time I will definitely request a different room or ask actual photo of my assigned room first.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and it was a really unique experience. There were people from all over the world, though the language barrier made it hard to communicate. For someone who's a bit of a clean freak, this hostel was surprisingly tidy; they frequently cleaned the common areas. Just remember to bring your own disposable slippers – I didn't, and it was a little awkward. The location is also fantastic, right next to Haji Lane, which is bustling both day and night with food, drinks, and entertainment. It's an easy walk to Bugis Street and Merlion Park, and the MRT station isn't far either!

The hotel was cleaner and quieter than I expected, which was great. Having my own private space was a big plus, and the air conditioning was just right. The lobby also offered a nice spot to relax and unwind, and I often found myself spending time there after waking up in the morning.

This evolved capsule hotel offers a minimalist experience with well designed functionality.Seamless key card access for all areas and lockers ensures a peace of mind. And the roll screen at bed provides a private space, so ladies do not have to worry much. Good to have a coffee machine and water server in reception area as well.

The highlight of the pod hotel is the location in Kampong Glam, right next to the stunning Sultan Mosque and Arab street. Plenty of quality food and store around the area. The Pod hotel itself is excellent for the price I paid at under thirty thirty gbp a night, with good complimentary nescafe machine and cold water dispenser in lobby. WiFi worked well, no shoes and food in pod rooms is good practice, showers, toilets and all common areas were cleaned daily making this pod hotel feel closest to 4 star hotel standards while remaining to be a cheap pod hotel in actuality. Highly recommend!

Great for a budget work-study day, but hygiene needs a serious upgrade
I checked into The Pod Boutique on a Thursday afternoon (3:30 PM) specifically to test out their "business-friendly" reputation. While it serves as a decent, affordable alternative to a café for co-working, there are several pros and cons to consider before booking
The Work Experience (Co-working & Amenities)
The hostel offers a dedicated co-working space and private office booths
The Good: Plenty of power sockets under the tables, a water cooler, and free-flow coffee/tea. There’s a communal fridge and microwave (label your food!) if you want to bring your own snacks
The Not-so-Good: The co-working area has no air-conditioning. There are no non-caffeinated options (like Milo or Hot Chocolate) and no snacks provided.
The Office Booths: These are a bit dim and not soundproof, so they aren’t ideal for confidential or high-stakes calls.
The Bunk & Stay (Mixed Dorm)
As a solo female traveler, I felt safe here. There are cameras throughout the property, and the interior of the bunk itself was clean, comfortable, and smelled nice.
Inside the Pod: You get one power socket, a towel rack, a hook, and a small shelf
Privacy & Noise: The blind is quite translucent, offering little privacy. It isn’t soundproof, so expect noise during the early morning and late-night "rush hours."
The Catch: There is no mini-table inside the pod, so you can't work from your bed; it's strictly for resting
The Downsides
Cleanliness: This was the biggest issue. The toilet hallways are very dirty, yet guests are required to remove shoes before entering. Walking barefoot there was quite unpleasant
Facilities: There is only one lift (the stairs are faster/more reliable). The pantry is bare-bones (just sugar and stirrers), they charge for cutlery, and no breakfast is provided
Value: Honestly, this feels like a "slightly nice" hostel rather than a "Boutique" experience. I wouldn’t pay the standard $42–$50 rate for this quality. However, at the $22 discounted rate I got through Trip.com, it’s a fair trade-off for a quiet place to study
Summary: If you need a cheap place to crash and do some light laptop work, it’s okay—just bring your own slippers for the bathroom and don't expect a premium "boutique" feel

Given it's a developed country, I had pretty high expectations for cleanliness, but the hostel bathroom felt a bit dirty, with bits of paper sometimes visible on the floor. Everything else was fine though; the location was convenient, and the other guests were quiet. Overall, it was a good experience.

Firstly, the location is really convenient as it is in Kampong Glam and a bus station: so, you can go anywhere from there. The hostel itself is located on the 3rd floor and that could be a problem for people who can’t walk properly. They do have an elevator but you need to climb up some stairs first before going into it. Secondly, the rooms are super clean, the bathrooms are spotless, and the bed is very comfy, you can sink right in. The temperature set in my dorm was about right as it was not too cold or too hot. Thirdly, there is a coffee machine in the lobby and a water dispenser as well. From the machine, you get more choices than coffee. I recommend Teh Tarik, a local milk tea, that can be dispensed from that machine. Overall, I’d give this hostel a 4.5/5 since I’ve stayed in bigger dorms compared to this. It was a really great experience and I would be coming back again in the future.
