The environment was great. The pool is huge, with shallow and deep sections, water slides, plus a separate 0.9m wading pool with its own slide. There's also what looks like a hot spring pool next to it (didn't try it). Breakfast had a wide variety of choices. The room was spacious, but the sliding door to the balcony couldn't be opened. Our room didn't directly face Clarke Quay; instead, it overlooked a street perpendicular to the Singapore River. There’s a 24-hour self-service lounge offering complimentary tea and coffee.

The hotel is a bit old, but the overall experience was fine👌. The first room I was assigned had an odor, so I went to the front desk to tell the staff. She immediately offered to move me to another room, which I accepted. Although the process took about 20 minutes, the new room had no smell at all. The hygiene was very good, but some facilities are outdated and need improvement, like the lack of USB outlets – only traditional plugs are available. The hotel's elevators lack a smart system; one elevator has to completely descend before another can start ascending. Unlike modern smart elevators where if one goes down, others automatically sense and go up. Luckily, the hotel only has 12 floors😅

Good location. Easy to get to other places. The room was generally clean, but quite dusty being an old hotel. Otherwise, great place!

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. It's beautiful. The front desk lady, who was Chinese, had excellent English and provided great service. The hotel's location is superb, right near the Clarke Quay MRT station, with a large mall just opposite and Song Fa Bak Kut Teh next door. It's also very close to Chinatown, Merlion Park, and the colorful Old Hill Street Police Station. Housekeeping was prompt, and the afternoon tea snacks were delicious. There were a lot of Western guests, and everyone was very polite. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Singapore.

The smell at the entrance of the hotel is terrible, and it’s there every time you walk in or out. After we declared we do not want the hotels breakfast, the counter staff closed down our room service account and banished us to a corner room at the lowest floor, claiming there’s good river view and directly outside the swimming pool. Little did we know it was at the cost of two staircases, which exist for decorative purpose alone, if not to add to our inconvenience. It is noisy at night till 1-2am with people shouting and laughing at the river side. The room itself is old and looks like not been lived in for a long time, with hard mattress, one lamp in the toilet not working, dirt in the cup, and a hairdryer that automatically stop (presumed due to overheat) after five minutes of blowing your hair. Not what you will expect from a five star hotel despite the good location.

I booked this hotel because the price was affordable, and to my surprise, the location was excellent. Even though it was just a one-night trip, I had a very comfortable stay. There are many great restaurants nearby, all within walking distance, so I could easily spend my time just exploring the area around the accommodation.

The experience of this trip is very good. I come to Singapore once a year. The Paradox Hotel I stayed in this time is very good. The environment is good, the geographical location is excellent, and it is very close to various scenic spots and subway stations. The staff are very polite and enthusiastic, and the breakfast is very rich. Thank you for your hospitality. See you next year.

The location is fantastic! Directly opposite is a mall with Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Toast Box, among others. There are also many bus stops nearby. It's very close to Old Hill Street and Fort Canning Park, and you can even walk to Chinatown. There's also a swimming pool and the rooms are quite spacious. Overall, I'm very satisfied, although most of the staff don't speak Chinese, so you'll need to communicate in English.
