Galaxy Pods Capsule Hotel Boat Quay

This place is good when you are on a tight budget, as SG is very expensive place. it's good for few days stay. If you are claustrophobic I dont recommend this place.

located very near clarke quay and in the center of tourist area of boat quay. good for backpackers and people with main purpose of enjoying singapore without too much sleeping. pods are clean and tidy. staff are very nice. toilet is so so but spacious, more than the pods.:)). cheap and easy to book. a little far from the mrt station, hence, consider not bringing too heavy luggage. the have a storage without lock but with cctv so you could store your oversize luggage, otherwise, they have lockers where you could unlock with your pods key. even a charging station and safe locker inside the pods.

Wanted to try a capsule and it is something I would probably not do again. It's good for budget travelers and for overnight stays and the capsule itself is nice. However, the common spaces are quite tight when people are walking about. Bathrooms and showers are shared, so you need to wait for these to become available. Not ideal for people with mobility issues as some pods are stacked on top and require climbing some stairs. Also not really suitable for families. Capsules are loaded with a TV (including Netflix), USB-A charging port and are reasonably comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful and they are willing to hold your bags while you tour around. Location is convenient, with lots of restaurants around and Raffles place MRT a 7-minute stroll. I would recommend for a first-timer, just for them to get to experience a capsule first-hand

This experience is not for everyone. I didn't mind it but my hubby absolutely hated it and didnt get any sleep. His main complaint was the noise. Many people's complain that the noises carry easily from pod to pod in their reviews, so we knew about it beforehand. There was a couple in the pod next to ours that was always talking loudly. I slept through it all. I loved the galaxy theming and the blue lights / spaceship vibe. The room was bigger than I imagined. We got the double and 6-foot-hubby was able to sit up in the bed without hitting his head. It was even big enough for me to store our backpacks by our feet. Note: Several other guests were storing their large suitcases in the hall outside the pods. I didn't know if there would be any luggage storage, so we left our big bags at the airport storage. There is also a small locker that you can use for even more storage The communal bathrooms were not very nice. It was shower/toilet all-in-one, so everything was always wet. There was, however, nice hot water available. They provided towels--which I forgot to ask about when booking, so was very happy to see that. There was a TV in our pod, but it didn't work. The temperature in the pod was very hot! Customer service was great! We went to the WRONG Galaxy Capsule hotel and they were so nice to explain where the other one was and even said: even though you are staying at the other hotel, you can store your backpacks here for awhile while you explore Chinatown! We couldn't check in for a few hours anyway, so that was a really nice offer!
