Excellent! The front desk staff can also speak Chinese, and the Malaysian guy was very amusing.

On April 12th, my American colleague and I arrived at the hotel from the airport and checked in together. It was obvious—he's white, and I'm Asian. I felt a bit disappointed. He got a free upgrade, while I was assigned to room, the farthest one in the corner. Nothing was wrong with it—I was satisfied, except for the location. Still, it reminded me of those historical stories about segregated parks for white people. Strange, but all too real.

Not great. Despite Mayfair being newly renovated, the hygiene is still poor. The bedding was dirty, damp, and sticky. They claimed it was a down duvet, but it was actually a lumpy, feather-filled one. The hotel is like a maze, so make sure to remember the route the bellboy takes you. There's construction nearby, so expect noise during the day. The hotel's afternoon tea is very expensive; an adult set costs S$65, and a small slice of durian cake is S$17. It's a 10-minute walk to the MRT station, up a slope, and there's only an asphalt road for cars in front of the hotel, no pedestrian path.

Traveling as a family of three, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with a double bed and an additional rollaway bed. This was incredibly thoughtful for a family with an older child, and made our stay very comfortable. The room was also spacious enough and had a balcony. Being on the first floor was super convenient. They replenished our bottled water daily, which was a nice touch. We were so lucky to have clear skies every day of our trip in Singapore and even luckier to have booked this hotel. We didn't need to communicate much; overall, we were extremely satisfied. I had some reservations before my trip after seeing some negative reviews online, so I'd like to clear things up. The shower had excellent water pressure, which was amazing – I could wash my hair in no time! And contrary to some reviews, it wasn't noisy at all; our stay was very peaceful.

I initially thought this was a hotel within a park. While the greenery is indeed good and the property is quite large, it doesn't really give off a park-like vibe. The main hotel building is historic, but many rooms are in an annex. The location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from Orchard Road MRT station. The split-level suite is genuinely spacious, with a large balcony and amenities like a kitchen, oven, microwave, and washing machine. The only downsides are that the bedroom is right by the entrance, and you have to go up a few steps to reach the living room, which isn't ideal if you have a lot of luggage. Also, the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy.

Had a great experience of staying. The property 'looks' old on picture, but it's definitely well maintained when you see in person. Stayed at newly renovated room with balcony. Room is spacious, clean & nice, for elderly might found difficulty of having to climb the bath tub for shower since it's quite high. The staffs are helpful & friendly which is a plus point. The breakfast option is quite limited, mostly western breakfast, bread/pastry, congee and soy milk. I don't eat much for breakfast so it isn't big deal, but if you lean towards more local/asian breakfast, better just get breakfast outside. Definitely consider to come back on my next visit to SG.

A very unique hotel with a very strong UK heritage vibe. Suppose to be a staycation but it gave a feeling of being oversea. Conveniently located at the Orchard Road prime area and offer great value for a 5 star hotel.

This time, I didn't get a king-size bed; instead, I was given a twin room even though I was traveling solo. The bed was a bit small, which made my multi-night stay uncomfortable, so I ended up checking out a day early. The housekeeping staff, as always, did a fantastic job – they're really commendable! And the restaurant was great too.

The staff here are really friendly and go out of their way to make us feel comfortable . The hotel is like an old colonial building and sometimes the room numbers may be abit confusing . But it was still not so bad finding our way around the corridor ! Lol ! The location is good along scotts road right next to far east plaza . Overall a nice and cosy trip for me and my family !
