Honestly for the price that I paid for I would say I was emmensely pleased with this hotel,the location is in the heart of Chinatown and browsing through shops and restaurants was very easily accessible and convenient. Below us were many stalls and places to eat, shop. The room was very clean, no issues with the cleanliness and condition of the room. The complimentary items provided were quite good too and shower was very nice especially after a days worth of walking and travelling. I would say the landing area is small but it was enough to open the suitcases we had and the sink in the room was typically convenient for getting ready for bed, brushing teeth and washing our face. They also had a projector which was very cute as we managed to watch a couple of videos and play music whilst lay in bed.

1. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and attentive, always promptly resolving and answering any questions I had. 2. I stayed in a capsule, and the overall environment and hygiene inside were quite good. 3. Outside the capsules is a common area with very complete facilities. 4. The hotel is located in the Chinatown area, about a seven-minute walk to the subway.

Had a wonderful stay at Claude Hotel! The hotel is newly renovated, clean, and very comfortable. The room was well-maintained, and the bed was cozy for a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the check-in process smooth. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby food and attractions. Great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

The location is super convenient, right by the MRT station in the heart of Chinatown. You can walk to famous spots like Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Toast Box, and Boon Tong Kee. There's also a mall right next to the MRT station with a Fairprice supermarket and Mr. Coconut. However, the room is seriously tiny. Forget two suitcases; even opening one requires serious space management. While there are plenty of shelves for storage, if you need a lot of space, you should definitely reconsider. On the bright side, the room is clean, tidy, and new. There are also lots of mirrors, which is great for girls doing their makeup – a vanity mirror and a full-length mirror. Soundproofing isn't great; you can practically hear hair dryers from other rooms. There was also a slight drip from the ceiling, which the front desk said was an AC issue. Accommodation in Chinatown is generally expensive, so there's not much choice. However, for this price, you could get a much bigger room in Hong Kong, Japan, or Shanghai. So, I'd recommend looking around and considering your options.

Although the room wasn't huge, the bedding was comfortable and the furnishings were decent. The only downside was seeing a giant ant on the second day that was incredibly hard to kill – I had to flush it down the toilet in the end! I didn't see any more after that, and I guess it's normal to have ants in tropical Singapore. The hotel's buffet was excellent, with very fresh seafood – definitely worth trying.

First capsule hotel experience — exceeded expectations. Capsule room, toilet, reception, and environment were clean, except for a blood stain on the bedsheet. Friendly receptionist during check-in and check-out; guided us through the process clearly and professionally. Shoe locker provided (no shoes in room). About 10 capsules per room. Large luggage lockers available — fit my oversized sports equipment easily. Plenty of toilets. Capsule itself is cozy with two plugs, two small wall-mounted tables, and two additional lockers on the headboard. Roller curtain for privacy. Two powerful central AC units. Strategic location — walking distance to Chinatown attractions, MRT, shops, and eateries. Hawker Chan chicken rice right below the hotel. Downside: stairs only, no lift. Overall, very satisfied and will definitely book again.

I stayed at Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre during my recent trip to Singapore, and overall, I was very happy with my choice. 😊 What I liked most was definitely the location. It’s conveniently located near Chinatown, with easy access to the MRT, restaurants, cafés, and plenty of places to eat nearby. Getting around Singapore from the hotel was very convenient. 🛏️ The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. It wasn’t particularly spacious, but for Singapore, I found the size perfectly fine. Since I spent most of the day outside exploring or working, what mattered most to me was having a clean and comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day. Another thing I really appreciated was how easy and convenient everything felt during my stay. Even when I returned late, there were still plenty of food options nearby, and getting around the city was never complicated. ⭐ Would I stay here again? Definitely yes. If you’re looking for a modern hotel in a great location with convenient transportation, Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre is a great choice. The room may not be huge, but the location and convenience definitely make up for it! 🇸🇬✨

Extremely close to the subway station, just cross the road upon exiting. The price is quite cheap for Singapore, and it's a budget hotel without breakfast. It was reasonably clean, though the room was very small. It's close to Chinatown and there are plenty of food options nearby. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Cons: 1️⃣ Be mentally prepared, the bunk beds are really, really small, with no space to put your belongings. If you're over 170cm tall, your feet will stick out of the bed curtain. 2️⃣ The quality of roommates is random. On my second night, one roommate was still on the phone in the early hours of the morning. 3️⃣ There was a sweaty odor in the room, perhaps a lingering smell from the renovation? 4️⃣ I suspect the bedding wasn't clean; my legs were covered in bites, and they weren't mosquito bites. 5️⃣ The women's restroom occasionally requires queuing. Pros: 1️⃣ Excellent location, about a 400-meter walk from two subway stations, and very close to major attractions. 2️⃣ Staff service attitude is good. 3️⃣ Many guests are Chinese, so you can chat with them. 4️⃣ Cotton swabs, earplugs, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are provided free of charge, but you need to bring your own slippers, otherwise, you'll have to pay 2 SGD for a pair of 'couple' slippers.

Jyu Capsule Hotel is a very clean hostel with an excellent location right in the heart of Chinatown. It's very convenient for getting around, close to the MRT, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and convenience stores. It’s perfect for those looking to explore Singapore on a budget. Check-in was easy using the self-service kiosk. Once you go up to the accommodation floor, there are lockers for shoes and luggage, and you need a key card to access the sleeping area, which made me feel secure. I chose a lower-bunk capsule and found it very convenient for getting in and out and using the facilities. The accommodation has complete facilities, including a 24-hour free drinking water dispenser, a dining area, and hair dryers (available until 10 PM). There are four bathrooms on the second floor. Although I was initially worried there wouldn't be enough, I never had to wait in line during my entire stay. A highlight for me was the incredibly soft bed with two pillows and the refreshing air conditioning; I slept more comfortably than expected. The staff were also very helpful. While they might not always be smiling, they were fully supportive when I asked questions or requested assistance. One minor point to note is the noise. Since my capsule was near the door, I could hear the sound of the door opening and closing and other guests walking quite clearly. Some people walked loudly or talked softly, and I could still hear them, which is typical for a capsule accommodation. Additionally, cleaning takes place during the day, so it might not be suitable for those who want to sleep in late in the room. Overall, if you're looking for clean accommodation in a good location at a reasonable price, and just need a place to sleep after a full day of sightseeing, Jyu is an extremely worthwhile option, especially for solo travelers. However, those who are sensitive to noise or prefer a very quiet environment might need to consider it further. If I have the chance to visit Singapore again, I would gladly choose to stay here again.
