Guest UserBest Stay in Singapore!
My stay at Hotel Waterloo Singapore was easily the best hotel experience I’ve had in the city. I chose this hotel on a whim, but it turned out to be the perfect decision—the location is incredibly convenient for reaching all kinds of arts and cultural organizations.
Since I stayed here for half a month for work, having a cozy, clean, and comfortable room made a huge difference. The hygiene standards are exceptional, and the warm lighting and tasteful decor truly made me feel at home. It was the perfect place to recharge after a busy, tight workday.
A special thank you to Muz, the Senior Front Office Manager, and Dellchen from Housekeeping. Muz was extremely patient with all my inquiries, offered great local travel recommendations, and demonstrated outstanding professionalism. Seeing him in the lobby always felt like greeting an old friend. Dellchen was equally wonderful—always quick to respond to room makeup requests and consistently cleaning with a warm, genuine smile.
I highly recommend Hotel Waterloo to anyone visiting Singapore. In fact, I’ve already booked my next stay for my upcoming work trip in October!

Guest UserWhile not the best location, being about a 10-minute walk from the MRT station, the area itself is surprisingly quiet yet has plenty of restaurants and other conveniences. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, making for a comfortable stay. It was also reassuring to know there's someone at the front desk 24/7, especially when arriving late at night. The shared cafe-like lounge area was spacious and handy. I also appreciated that the toilet and shower were in separate, partitioned spaces. The water pressure, though not incredibly strong, was perfectly acceptable – a welcome change from the weak pressure or lack of hot water you sometimes encounter in overseas hotels.

Guest UserLocation: The hotel's location is excellent, with three metro stations nearby and a bus stop right outside. The National Museum is also within walking distance.
Food: There are plenty of dining options nearby, including Ya Kun Kaya Toast and a 'Yi Jia Ren' (a common name for local eateries). Directly behind the hotel are two hawker centers opposite Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple. Honestly, you don't need to search for '网红店' (internet-famous spots); these two hawker centers have all the Singaporean specialties you could want.
Service: There's a friendly and efficient Chinese-speaking uncle at the front desk who helped us with both check-in and check-out.
Cleanliness: We stayed for 5 nights. Upon check-in, we were told to hang the 'clean my room' sign on the door if we wanted housekeeping. Generally, it was good, but some hair in the shower wasn't cleaned.
Room: It's typical Singaporean style – a bit small, but it has a bay window. I had a large suitcase and a carry-on, and they didn't get in the way too much.
Overall, everything was great, and I would stay here again.

Wh7410This hotel is conveniently located about 200 meters from Outram Park MRT station, with a small grassy area in between. The M Hotel is right next door, separated by a narrow 10-meter street. For shopping at Marina Bay Sands, it's just a 3-stop MRT ride. To get to Merlion Park, you can catch bus 57 or 131 directly across the main road near the MRT station. Bugis Street is also only about 600 meters away. Overall, the transportation is quite good. The rooms are extremely small but clean. There's a water purifier under the sink, so you can boil water to drink. Downstairs, there's a small 7-Eleven where you can pick up basic necessities.

LillyMOverpriced for a short stay cos sometimes your flight arrives late and you have to check out early at 7am. If it’s 3 people you will not stay in 1 room . I saw they did this to a family checking in the 3rd person has to pay extra or for a new room etc. checking in takes time cos it’s self check in and very high tech. I would rather a normal 1day hotel for the same price if I have options in Singapore.

Guest UserThis was our last hotel on this trip. Overall, it was clean, tidy, and bright! The location is also good, right in the city center, with bus stops right outside. The hotel's decor and furnishings are all in a Chinese style, with screens and furniture featuring traditional Chinese wooden carvings, which felt very welcoming. The service was also great; check-in was quick and friendly. A special mention goes to the bathroom in the room – it was brightly lit and spotlessly clean. And there was no damp, musty smell in the room! This is really important, as it completely changed my previous negative impressions of some hotels! This hotel offers good value for money, and the buffet restaurant on the ground floor has decent food. The only downside is that the hotel facilities are a bit dated, but that's common for hotels in Singapore, and comparatively, this one's facilities are actually quite good!

Guest UserHorrible experiences after first attempt check in. A room with full of mods on every wall of bathroom and sleeping area, including the air-co. I couldn’t rarely to put my stuffs there. After took some photos I went to complain and ask for a change at the reception. The ladies were nice and understanding, tried to get me an option, which was clearly renovated (painted). But from the bathroom I could still found some mods around. The cancellation was closed because of the reservation via third party. I hope this review could get some attention and be helpful for other travellers, especially with children. Better pay a bit more than risk your health with breathing those mods into your lungs which can be very fatal for the health. Couldn’t believe it’s happened in Singapore!

MCLRWe spent 4 nights here. What we truly liked about the area is accessibility and super close to Haji Lane, Arab Street, and Bugis! Bus stations nearby, eateries, convenience stores, etc. Yakun Kaya is a 5 min walk, super convenient for breakfast. Overall stay is good, bed is good with 2 pillows, there's also free water refill. I think the room just needs to be upgraded as airconditioning is quite old and doesn't get cold even at 16 degrees but we didn't mind as it was just enough for us, hot water is not hot, kind of lukewarm, last thing, room needs to be thoroughly cleaned since there was 1 small roach in our room on our 1st night and also windows are kinda dusty. Nevertheless, we would stay here again.

The location is okay and not too out of the way, but I can write in Chinese but I can't understand it. Maybe there is no one who can understand. The most uncomfortable thing is that the jack is too big and cannot be charged, so an adapter is needed.
