Hello readers, visited a few days ago this Hotel 81 Gold, it's in the Geylang Lor 20, just opposite to Hotel 81 Lucky.
The location for me who loves to drink and dine with the locals was perfectly fine as restos are open till 2 am.
The people are friendly and helpful and the hotel staff was excellent I'll name them, CJ, Aida, Salma and Zai they were all were doing their job wonderfully at the front desk.
The hotel was very clean as per Singaporean standards, at first I thgt I've made a mistake hurrying up while booking this hotel as they done serve meals, but I came to know why, as restaurants were just a stones throw away.
Indian, Chinese, Thai all types of cuisine were available nearby with provision stores, ATMs, medical stores, and a lot of other stuff for all ages.
I'll urge you to check for Hotel 81 it's in budget and clean, the nearest Metro is Al Juneid, I'll urge you to travel by metro, easier faster and cheaper.
Love to Singapore and Singaporeans

This is our second time, staying with a family. We chose for its affordability and location. Easy to get buses to all direction. The front desk lady (so sorry for not getting the name) was really helpful and made a difference. We will stay again. She was patient, helpful and above all, quite enthusiastic to help. Rare these days for similar level hotels. Keep up the good staff! There are lots of great and affordable eating places around. Highly recommended. And clean too.
This hotel is super close to the MRT station, which makes getting to the airport a breeze. There are tons of food options nearby too. The room itself isn't huge, but it's spotless and really well-maintained. For a stay in Singapore, this place offers great value for money.

đď¸ Hotel 81ď˝Budget Stay That Does the Job
If youâre just looking for a place to sleep in Singapore that wonât burn a hole in your wallet, Hotel 81 is your best bet. It was the cheapest option I could find, and honestly, it gets the job done.
The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the basics I needed. Big plus: my room had a window, which made a huge difference in making the space feel less claustrophobic. Donât expect luxury â this is purely a functional stay.
Itâs not a place for lounging or extended stays, but if you just need a safe, air-conditioned room to crash in after a full day out, Hotel 81 delivers. Would definitely consider staying again for a short stopover.
My friend and I really loved our stay. Our room was clean and regularly tidied up. We also loved the charming neighborhood which was accessible both to buses and the MRT station. Although the latter is around a 10-minute walkâ that's near to us already and we don't mind since it's such a walkable neighborhood. What made our stay even better though was the customer service. Thank you so much, Joseph and Davin, for being so accommodating. We appreciated all your help and assistance. đ We're definitely coming back and we're missing SG already. :)
Room size was so small (thatâs typical in SG), but sufficient if you plan to be out the whole day and just come back to sleep. Elevators took so much time (up to 15 minutes wait) especially if thereâs a crowd. Stayed for over 5 nights but the sheets werenât changed :/

The room was quite small but I liked it. It was cozy and comfortable. The room and the bed were clean and the aircon worked perfectly. The only drawback was the thin walls. You could here noises from the walkway. Otherwise, the hotel is located in a nice and quite neighborhood. There are a lot of food outlets serving local cuisines nearby within walking distance. For transportation, there is a bus station nearby.

We have had a rooftop room with two kids. We felt like we were back in time when Chinatown was very popular with their room with no windows. The hotel is quite old but tidy. The staff were friendly, we could check in earlier though by hotel information they said we must check in after 3:00 local time. The location was really convenient, nearby supermarkets and a lot of options for different kinds of food. Overall we were happy đ

GGuest UserWe could store our luggage before check in and after checkout. Thereâs a mall across the street, bus stops nearby and two mrt stations within 7/8 minutes walking distance.

NnhmnrhI booked a queen room and upon checked in, my husband and I were upgraded to a much bigger room which might be a honeymoon suite đ
Simple amenities provided. Shower gel, dental kit & towels.
However, mattress was a bit hard, so it is quite uncomfortable for me on the first nightâ unable to have proper sleep đŁ I also wish to have an extra pillows
Location is đŻ Close to Geylang market, halal food stores & walkable distance to MRT Paya Lebar
AAnonymous UserI get this hotel recommended by a friend. I checked the location very strategic. Nearby Jalan Besar MRT Station and accross a bus stop. Located in the middle, so many halal resto to found out around this hotel.
I checked in and serviced well by the receptionist.
Unfortunately, he told me to accest the hotel inside by side-door lately, bcs I brought stroller. He didn't inform at the begin while I checked-in.
The room kinda small, so small. And carefully, it can be noisy because of other guests. The talked loudly at night after 9PM and it was kinda annoying. I asked the receptionist to checked out the floor, and he scolded the noisy guests.

JJ4ckyYaHonestly, it's just so-so.
If you're not overly concerned about privacy, many capsule hotels actually offer better environments, more complete facilities, and are cleaner and more hygienic than this place.
I wasn't familiar with Singapore when I first arrived, so I chose this based on my habits from back home. I'd recommend trying other low-budget hotels with ratings of 4.5+ on Trip.com; you might be pleasantly surprised.
LLinchuanyousimengArrived late at night, and there was still staff at the lobby. They even left green apples for guests. The room, though small, was very clean and well-equipped. There's a fantastic Western restaurant diagonally opposite and a clothing store across the street where I always find unique, well-designed pieces. This hotel offers great value for money in Singapore.
FFarzin MirzaieThe room was clean, and the hot water worked perfectly. Itâs quite small and the window doesnât open, but if you just need a place to sleep, itâs a solid budget choice. The staff were polite and friendly. Thereâs no in-house laundry, but a self-service coin laundry is right across the street. The location is super convenientâbus stop right in front and the MRT station just a 5-minute walk away. Overall, great value for the price.
BBigMelonSmallMelonOverall a great stay, The room is clean. Bed is quite ok. Sufficient plug points. Toliet is clean and quite spacious. Hotel staffs are friendly. Special thanks to Wee for guiding me of how to look for eateries around the areas. There are plenty of hawker centres for both halal and non-halal. Also many bakery/pastry shops around. Fair Price supermarket is just in front of the hotel. Super convenient to buy anything you want. Great stay and will book again.
