"I booked a hotel through a third-party platform, intending to check in upon arrival in San Martin on the same day. However, due to inclement weather, the airline notified me of a flight delay seven hours before departure, pushing it to the following day. Upon receiving the notification, I immediately contacted the hotel through the email address provided by the third-party platform, inquiring about any compensation options for my inability to check in as scheduled. After an hour without a reply, I also contacted the hotel through their group email address on their website. Approximately three hours later, I received a reply from the group email address asking which hotel it was and promising to forward the message to that hotel. However, the hotel never responded. After the delayed flight arrived, my travel companion and I went to the hotel. The hotel staff stated that they needed to go through the third-party platform to change the actual number of nights stayed, and that if the platform submitted the request, the hotel would agree to a refund. Therefore, I contacted the third-party platform immediately upon check-in, and they agreed to my request and would then ask the hotel to handle it. Ultimately, the hotel refused a refund, stating that because the booking was made through a third-party platform, refunds were not possible under any circumstances for non-check-in; they also refused to acknowledge the promises made by the hotel staff and instead attempted to accuse the consumer of trying to violate the booking rules. I understand that the hotel had prepared rooms in advance, and to some extent, the inability of guests to check in due to bad weather does not mean the hotel should bear all the responsibility. However, I was surprised that a resort hotel belonging to a large group and a well-known tourist attraction could have such poor communication between its staff and customers. (Incidentally, all the phone calls between the two parties were made by me, as the hotel promised to call me back to explain, but I haven't.) What's most infuriating is that I asked the hotel staff on the phone if they had received my previous letter inquiring about compensation options, and they said they had received my explanation of the inability to check in—doesn't this mean the hotel is deliberately ignoring me?"

"Joseph at the front desk is very helpful and will help you with anything, from how to get to the bus. The location isn't a touristy area, so there aren't many restaurants nearby. However, considering the price and the quality of the room, it's perfect."

"The room is very good. The environment is better, a few hundred meters of exclusive beach, no outsiders are not crowded and safe, the beach chairs are always rich. This resort is a mix of all inclusive and single-stay. In order to deal with single-stay travelers, all restaurants and bars in the resort, even bottled water, are priced and need to sign. All-inclusive passengers sign the order without charge, but still have to sign, and there is a tip column. Really all-inclusive resort, all food and beverage services are priceless, enjoy it at will, no tip, no need to consider paying after check-in. So in contrast, all-inclusive travelers will not adapt, and it will be offensive to sign a bottle of water. Because all fees have been paid at the time of booking."

"I couldn't find a way to contact this accommodation, but I found the phone number and that was connected to a WhatsApp account. I wanted to ask if I could securely store my luggage before official check-in time since I would arrive quite early in the morning. I got a quick response that it was no problem. And when I arrived a few days later, the room was already ready for me. The owner Jules made sure that it was. I was very happy about it. The accommodation is also very close to a big Carrefour supermarket. Public transport can also be found very nearby. And the bed was very comfortable!"

"I don't recommend staying at a Chinese resort. The place is too scattered, and you need to take a car from where you stay to the front desk. The elevator in the place where I stayed was broken, and the luggage had to be carried up and down. There was a casino next to it, and the music was loud until 1 a.m. We went to Saint Bart and stayed on Saint Barthelemy for a day. At 8 a.m., we took our luggage to the front desk to call for a taxi to the cruise terminal, but there was no one at the front desk. We came back and stayed at another hotel on the island. The price was similar, but the environment and service were completely different. See my other review."
