Booked off Internet as an over night stop on way to the Tyrol. Brilliant choice. Comfortable warm room. Fantastic view over the marsh. Just the quiet honking of geese as overnight noise. Great restaurant with terrific evening meal and oodles of breakfast. Would very definitely stay again - and for a couple of days or more. Only concern would be they do weddings so maybe Saturday nights would be less peaceful.

What a lovely place to enjoy a few days in peace and quiet. The place itself is in a small quaint village with a restaurant on site but few other options available within 5 minutes walk. It sits on the river which makes it so romantic to have a drink in the evening or just enjoy your coffee in the morning...

What a wonderful location having been invited for a friends party we drove over and was stunned by Brugge and not expecting this to be bettered , Great place great food wonderful staff all was top class . Footnote I would not rent one of their day boats the guy renting the day boats amazingly rude to people returning the boat boat not sure if he was having a bad day but arguing with the customers and very rude to my wife who was enjoying a quiet champagne watching world go by , surprised he is associated to such a great venue not out of the food team stock that’s for sure 5star to all apart from boat rental 🥂💔 will return as soon as possible and stay in Latham area so much more to see I hope .

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel unwelcome - we had booked with our two dogs, after seeing the hotel advertised as pet friendly on ***********. We booked a month before our stay and added a note that we would be bringing the dogs. Plenty of time for the hotel to inform us dogs are no longer accepted..but no, on checking in we were made to feel we should be grateful for not being turned away (even though that'd be 40 euros extra in their pockets). I wish we had been turned away! The whole experience of our stay, especially dinner, was a catalogue of errors. Some forgiveable if it weren't for the atrocious dinner - Michelin star prices for food out of a packet. Service bizarre (different serving staff for each interaction), dire, dire food. The menu talks the talk but just downright unpleasant to eat. The room was ok, pretty shabby with barely functioning shower. While the outlook from the restaurant looks pretty, the river had a horrible stench on a warm day and was totally devoid of wildlife. Stay away!

We spent here 4 nights, and the quality of the stay was awful. Overpriced small room, in a crumbling building. Noisy stairs to reach the room located at the first floor in front of the mail building. The level of cleaning was very poor (even if they have the luxury to leave in your room their cleaning products…) as well as the furniture. 2 towels per night per 2 people, with a constant dropping heater in the bathroom. Super old hairdryer which stopped working after probably 2 minutes. The first 2 days they even didn’t clean up the tea cups… We had a 10 minute shower resulting in a flooded room. To note salty water is provided from the water system. To make the experience unforgettable we have also been awakened around 1am by a group of drunk people coming out from the restaurant and the day after at 6am by a tremendous noise of glass bottles: they were delivering water for the restaurant/hotel, having free access to the building were we where trying to sleep and rest. If you want to relax and pay for quality, please consider a different solution in this beautiful area.

I had a room with a view on the river Leye and that was very quiet. The rooms are relatvely small but pleasant. Breakfast was fine. I enjoyed my stay and would come again. The price was rather expensive.
