"We stayed here for one night, and while the setting is undeniably beautiful with mountains and the river right in front, the overall experience did not live up to the high price tag — this was the most expensive hotel of our trip but not necessarily the best. To begin with, the Wi-Fi was down and only came back online about four hours after we checked in. This was particularly inconvenient given that mobile connectivity is practically non-existent in the area. The rooms (we stayed in the King Deluxe category) were clean but felt small, and unfortunately, there were workers stationed right in front of our rooms, which took away from the experience. The riverfront chalets looked much nicer, but they were already booked out by the time we made our reservation. Another downside was the number of flies — they were everywhere, including in the rooms and in the restaurant, which was quite annoying. One unique feature of the property is that they switch off all lights at 11 p.m. for star gazing, which is a wonderful idea and the night skies without light pollution were incredible to see. However, we were not informed of this beforehand and only found out when we called reception to report a power cut. This should be clearly displayed or explained to guests at check-in. On the positive side, the views really are stunning, and that’s the one big highlight of the stay. For a single night, it was okay, but overall it felt far too expensive for what we got. We much preferred their sister property, Rihla Hunza, which offered a far better experience."

"This is a hotel belonging to the Avari Group, a Pakistani hotel chain. I stayed at one in Kyrgit and liked it so much that I also stayed at this one in Skardu. It's close to the bazaar and everything you need is nearby, but the hotel's restaurant is of a high standard, so I highly recommend trying it for dinner as well as breakfast. The staff's hospitality was wonderful, and I even received a room upgrade, making for a very comfortable stay."

"Lovely little guest house run by local family (Akhtar, his son and wife) having contemporary rooms in great pricing, beautiful garden and located in main Skardu. They are relatively new (probably their 4th or 5th year) but have put in great effort and it shows in almost everything. They are fully booked on most days during the season, so better to pre book (online or on phone) a good few days before coming. They offer home cooked local cuisine (on demand) and even pick for you complimentary cherries from their own cherry trees (mulberry as well but we didn't get to have it). Their garden is a lovely spot to sit and have dinner, breakfast, tea etc and even has a small farm (goats, chickens) at one end of it. Giving 5-star for the above, however a bit more focus on cleanliness of the 1st floor sitting/lounge area and tidying up/grass cutting in garden would make the experience even better."

"I went to stay at this hotel again after three years. They had upgraded some rooms compared to the previous one. I feel the best here. First of all, it is quiet here and their garden is spacious and you will get a good view. You can see all the mountains and skardu city from here. You can see the whole city. You will see the landing and take-off of the plane from here. It is not far from the city. It will take you ten minutes to get here from the city center. The rest of the basic facilities are there. They also have a kitchen. You will also get food from them."

"Our stay at Skardu View Point Hotel was regrettably far from the experience we had anticipated. From the onset, issues with cleanliness and basic amenities marred our stay. The washrooms were disappointingly unclean, lacking the basic hygiene standards one would expect. The absence of consistent hot water, a crucial amenity in a region with low temperatures, added to our discomfort.The promised WiFi service was unreliable and weak, falling short of expectations in an era where connectivity is vital. Accommodation conditions were subpar, with dirty bedsheets, pillows, and carpets raising concerns about overall cleanliness. Adding to our dismay, the kitchen facilities were notably dirty. Our concerns were justified when, after consuming meals from the hotel, we experienced discomfort indicative of food poisoning.In light of these multiple issues, we cannot recommend Skardu View Point Hotel. The combination of unclean rooms, compromised kitchen safety, and the overall lack of attention to basic amenities makes it imperative for potential guests to seek alternative accommodations for a safer and more enjoyable stay."

"Just got back from Skardu and had to write this while it's still fresh. We stayed at Hispar Hotel and honestly it was one of the best parts of the trip. The staff there were so nice, like genuinely warm and easy going, not just "hotel polite." We had a few specific requests and they didn't make it feel like a hassle at all, just sorted it out for us. The food was really good too, can't complain about a single meal. Rooms were clean and tidy, and they've clearly put thought into how everything looks, really nice aesthetic overall. We got a room with a mountain view and honestly just sitting there in the morning looking outside was worth it on its own. Bathroom was clean, spacious, and modern too, which I always think matters more than people give it credit for. Location was great as well, easy to get around from there. Would 100% stay here again if we're back in Skardu."
