The location of this hotel is very good, in the city center. Unfortunately, there are no scenic spots here😔, but the facilities of the hotel are very poor. The water in the bathroom of the first room was very slow. After complaining, we were changed to the second room. The room was larger, but There is no heating. It turned out that the switch of the machine was controlled by the reception. The staff forgot to turn it on😅, and the heater in the bathroom could not be turned on. It was only 3 degrees that day, and it was the same after changing 3 rooms😤

This is a hard review to write - because the people working here are so kind, helpful, friendly, and wonderful. That said - our stay felt like a horror movie setup. First - the parking isn’t open so you have to park in a cramped garage across the street at a discount, but the garage never gave us a ticket as the gate was stuck open when we arrived. Only one small elevator “worked” but even still, the floors it took you to didn’t match the buttons - and two of the floors seemed like they shouldn’t be open to the public (a dark basement and a floor that seemed to be a work space?). Then of our three rooms only one had an operating thermostat as it’s locked with a code that the staff didn’t have available. It is walkable though and has lovely staff. I’m sure it will be great once renovations are complete.

Visited new North bar at The Address Sligo and I was not disappointed. As a local, my family and I went for food and drinks. The food menu was well laid out and there was plenty to choose from for every pallet and all well priced for the quality of food served. I had the supreme of chicken which was beautiful. The whole grain mustard jùs was simply delicious. One of my family had the steak and it was equally as delicious and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were perfect and we were well attended to. We had drinks too and they were not at all overpriced and they pulled a beautiful pint of Guinness, the perfect pour too. The hotel is not open very long and for a new hotel with new staff they were simply a fantastic team of people. They were friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Well done to all the staff at the Address Sligo and in particular the staff in North. We had a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to go back again for my next visit. My complements to the Kitchen staff,Chef and all the bar staff. Well done again. Highly recommended.

After a 3 hour drive we arrived far too early for our room, so we decided if we were unable to book in we would park our car and go site seeing. But too our surprise they said there was a room available. Before we went to our room, we asked where could we park. We were given a code for a car park at the back of the hotel. So we drove to the back of the hotel got inside and were stopped by some contractors. We asked if we could move one of their vans. One of the contractors said there was no problem but his colleague wasn’t so nice. He stated this was a worksite and in no uncertain terms told us “to get out” and pay like everyone else. This was terrible. We had rang the hotel two days before we booked and made an enquiry about the parking facilities and was informed that there was 6 spaces at the front of the hotel and 12 at the back of the hotel. So we did not have to book a space. I can guarantee that we will not be back. Do not know why the hotel took our booking when it’s nothing but a building site with very abusive contractors. The toilets off the bar are all out of order. One was working the first day, but the second day there was no running water in the sink. I’m so annoyed €162 a night with B&B. Not cheap.

Stayed Friday to Sunday and the hotel is in a good central location. The rooms were big, warm and the bed was comfortable and the food was excellent and prices were reasonable. We had one issue regarding hot water but it was a technical fault and sorted out promptly. Sarah on reception was a star always smiling and very professional and helpful. She gave us directions to Knocknarea known as Queen Maeve's Cairn OK the rooms are dated but the hotel is having a refurb this year and we cant wait to go back when its completed. Don't let that put you off going, as its a good hotel which will only get better. The manager Zoltan is also very professional and will make this a star in Sligo. Pity the bar didn't have any entertainment at the weekends as they are missing a trick there. Their steak is really good and its top class meat well cooked and again reasonably priced. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and will return again soon.

Rooms were really nice and clean but it went downhill fast after this. We asked the Receptionist for a recommendation of a place to eat on the evening we arrived and after walking 10 minutes to the location we discovered it was closed. It would have been a decent touch if she had enquired on our behalf before sending us on this wasted journey. On arrival back at the hotel at 12.15 am we found the hotel to be locked and along with another couple we eventually gained entry after 15 minutes of ringing and banging on windows. On top of this the fire alarm went off at around 4am (which can happen)and just made a bad stay here worse. The breakfast was very average. Had been promised that the breakfast would be available at 7.30am and we had an early start so arrived at the dining room at 7.20 but the breakfast wasn’t ready and only just arrived when we had no choice but to leave it as it was 7.50am and we had to leave. The lady serving breakfast was not really pleasant at all and overall I would definitely not stay here again. The rooms are nice and newly renovated , Sligo is a really nice town but unfortunately the Sligo city hotel really needs to up its game when it comes to dealing with their paying customers.

This was the worst hotel, I can not understand the good reviews. Our room was not cleaned at all! The toilet seat was full of urine (see attached picture), after seeing this disgusting room we went downstairs to complain, and we were promised a new room in a few minutes and that we should wait in the hotel pub. After one hour wait we asked when we finally get a new room to get a rest after an exhausting day. Then suddently they said they will need another 1.5 hours for the new room (apparently a renovated one). When we got upset that the promised few minutes would be 2.5 hours we finally got keys for a new room. Let me tell you it was worse than the first one, so this left us thinking that cleaning is not top priority in that hotel.

Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Very bad food. Ate dinner on our first night there but left to go elsewhere for more as it was dry and tastless. Breakfast was awful. Went out for breakfast on the 2nd morning even though we paid for it in the hotel. Lovely hotel to stay in but just eat elsewhere

Stayed in Sligo City Hotel the last 2 nights and to our opinion the staff need a bit of training in hospitality. I cannot fault the girl who checked us in as she was lovely but unfortunately didn't see her again. The second receptionist we encountered wasn't a bit helpful. When we went to breakfast he rushed us to sit down somewhere and "a girl would be with us". No one explained to us how breakfast works and which in my opinion, may as well give the guest a wage as its the guest doing all the work. The only thing that was brought to us was a pot of tea. We had to tell "the girl" there was no plates, there was no sausages left. In our opinion also the food was terrible. When we brought this to the receptionist on duty, it really fell on deaf ears. He just didn't care. We stayed 2 nights and the second breakfast, we skipped. It also put us off eating dinner ehile we stayed. We are generally not ones to ever give out or complain but for the price of rooms for our stay it wasn't good enough. A lot of improvement is needed as we think this hotel has potential to do a lot better. Location was superb, the rooms were spacious and clean. There is a bit to improve there too but it was nothing to complain about.
