Really enjoyed my stay at Kensington hotel. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Nearby restaurants closed early, so I had to have hotel dinner (not bad). Hotel is situated near Seoraksan entrance (walking distance). Absolutely stunning view of the mountain! Hotel's concept is intriguing!!

The hotel decorations are very nice; however, the room feels quite old. The room door was difficult to close, and the wardrobe doors were stuck and hard to operate. Additionally, the bathroom floor became flooded with water after use. While the overall atmosphere is pleasant, the room facilities clearly need better maintenance.

Slightly dated hotel but I think that was the vibe they were aiming for. Otherwise relatively clean and comfortable. Best factor is that it is really convenient if you're planning for an early start to hiking in Seoraksan. Only thing that would have really made this hotel 5 stars for me is if there was pick up provided from Sokcho.

Wow! It felt like time travel back to the last century in the UK, the moment you step into the hotel lobby, which is full of nostalgic British decorations. The restaurant, especially, is like a royal family gallery with photos of Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, Prince Charles, Prince William, and other royals covering the walls. Each floor features a unique theme dedicated to various public figures, including presidents, diplomats, sports stars, movie stars, singers, and actors. The hallways are decorated with photos and memorabilia, making every walk a discovery. The location is very close to the entrance of Seorak Mountain National Park, within a 7-10 minute walk. My double bedroom is lovely with a nice view of greenery. The only downside and a major issue to me is that no AC at night, which is not mentioned in the hotel’s description. The staff explained that the AC is centrally controlled and is turned off at night because they assume it’s cool enough. They can only give me a fan. I had both dinner and buffet breakfast at the hotel, and they were all good, and all the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were very nice and friendly as well.

Prefect location and beautiful Mountain view from the room and interesting decoration inside. Their breakfast buffet was reasonable price for the variety and quality too.

Close to mountain hikes. The restaurant closes very early, and there are very few eating neighborhood, so we had to eat ramen for dinner one night. The bus also stops after a while, so it is difficult to get there in the night time.

We stayed in two different room types due to the high demand, I advise choose the room which has a view to Seorak mountain, it will bring completely different experience. The restaurant dinner sets are really nice in terms of food quality. The hotel definitely has a character.

Terrible hotel in 5* location. Tatty, very very dated and searingly hot rooms with effectively no operational air-con. Possibly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in

Location was 5mins walk from entrance of Seoraksan. Bathtub has stains which was unremovable.

Location is excellent if u plan to visit seoraksan. However, it is some distance from town. Hence there are no convenience stores or eateries around. Front counters were vert friendly and helpful. However, room maker up was quite sloppished. In fact, properly the worst I had experienced. Nonetheless, as we are not so particular and we were dead beat after hike each day, we were least concern to see room was still relatively messy n bed was not properly made (I made better beds at home).

Great english buffet breakfast. Amazing location just beside the national park for morning hikes. Great service by staff whom all communicate in good English and Mandarin. The hotel itself has floors that showcase collections by singers, actors and athletes.
