SW1 Lodge

I cannot fault SW1. The manager, Maurease & the staff were all so friendly & welcoming. Nothing was a problem & they were more than happy to help us have a very relaxing stay. Our luggage was even looked after whilst we had a night over in Hermanus. Breakfast included fresh fruit, cold buffet & a menu of various hot dishes including English breakfast which is freshly cooked & presented beautifully. Jugs of mint infused fresh water were dotted around for guests. They would also provide snacks & lunch if wanted. The Lodge itself is beautifully furnished & provides a luxurious but homely feel. There is plenty of space to relax in, a pool & spa room where I experienced an amazing facial. The bedrooms are well equiped with small fridge, tea & fresh coffee facilities & luxurious bathrooms with decent toiletries, bathrobes, slippers & fluffy towels. The beds are extremely comfortable, dressed with quality Egyptian cotton sheets & feather pillows. The lodge is ideally situated in a safe, high end residential area with private secured parking. An excellent base to go off exploring the wineries, Cape Town & the west coast. I would definitely return on my next visit to Cape Town.

My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful one night in the tiger's eye suite. The high-level personalised made the welcome very special. Staff are attentive and readily available. They were able to cater for our dietary requirements of gluten-free vegan. This is really a special escape that is convenient. I highly recommend SW1. I will return.

The property Is stunning, if you’re looking for an oasis of peace and tranquility then you won’t be disappointed. Rooms were beautiful and well appointed, staff were attentive and really friendly.

This again was a wonderful stay and the host Keasha is the best ever. Very helpful and friendly, what should you do without her. She runs SW1! The only complaint we have is that breakfast has been minimalised. It used to be much better. Our suggestion is to bring back the ‘old’ breakfast.

Very friendly staff. Decor not to my taste. Cooked breakfast good but buffet lacking for 5 star rating. No spa facility.

A great place to stay! The ambiente is so nice and carfully choisen! We had spand 3nights there & it was just great and outstanding. The place is verry beautiflu& the hospitality from Mareaze and her staff is amazing. It was just to be like at Home. We hade a great time& we will never forget!! We celebrated our 11th anniversary at SW1 and couldn't have asked for better. Staff were friendly and attentive, food is magnificant and the accomodation OMW. The ladies at the spa has heavenly hands, we will definitely be back.

I loved the spacious room, the bacony and the comfortable and extremly large bathroom. I especially loved the way Mareaze, our host, took special care of each of the guests making sure that each got what they needed. Her advice about the local restaurants was exact and very helpful. The facilities are much more than you would expect for a 5 room guest house, the large bar & TV room, the sitting room or the pool. I hope that I get the chance to return to South Africa and stay there again.

My wife and I had a quick getaway for 2 nights for our honeymoon. We were late and yet met in the most friendliest manner by Ed thee Lodge Manager, thereafter welcomed by John, the porter who was so professional, kind and patient as was all staff. Throughout our short stay they were at our beck and call. From the decor to the calmness in the air..this little gem was magnificent and a dream to stay at with 5 star service! Thank you to all staff that made our stay amazing!
