Royal Son Bou Family Club

We returned to this family friendly hotel for a 2nd time as grandparents with the grandchildren returning for a fourth consecutive visit. ALL the staff are very friendly and helpful in all areas. Food had plenty of variety in both restaurants with the children loving the idea of serving themselves. Rooms are well equipped with a free safe included.My only disappointment was the mattress - too soft.The room was cleaned every day. Pools were great with the large one heated with lots of sunbeds available.The small pirate pool opened at 10am and filled up quickly and was not heated.There is a new splashpad in kiko land which opens twice per day. Bars have a great choice of drinks for ai guests with ice cream and lollies readily available. All the areas in the hotel are immaculately clean but be careful on the many tiled floors if it rains. Outside in son bou there are three or four bars and restaurants and was very quiet in may.The beach is a lovely sandy one with lifegaurds on duty. Overall we would not hesitate to return again next year.Highly recommend if you have young children ie up to ten years of age

We stayed for a week half board as a family of 4. The hotel facilities for children were excellent, great location right on the beach and the hotel was immaculate. The maintenance and cleaning staff worked constantly to keep everything spotless. Restaurant and bar staff worked tirelessly. Entertainment was great and just the right balance, you could join in if you wished but there was no pressure if you just wanted to relax. Food was great, good selection and options for more picky eaters. Everything was fresh and constantly replenished. It was my birthday whilst we were away and we came back to our room to find a complimentary bottle of cava, which was a really nice gesture. We are already thinking about booking for next year.

Another amazing stay at the Royal Son Bou. We stayed in May half-term as 2 adults and one child aged almost 12. This was our fourth stay at the Royal Son Bou and was every bit as wonderful as our previous visits - we have booked to return next year again. The hotel really is perfection - everything is to such high standards. The rooms are clean and the communal areas of the hotel are immaculate. The range and standard of food is amazing; I really don't know how they cater for such large numbers to such a high standard. Everything is set up exactly as you need it for families and children, you can truly relax. There's a stunning beach a few minutes' walk away. This year we went to the beach each night after dinner to watch the sunset - truly stunning. The thing that really makes this hotel is the wonderful staff, many who remember us now. Dow and Lorena are wonderful at the bar, lovely Magda who came up from the offices to chat with us, Toñi and Fernando in the restaurants, Aitor in the shop with his salsa music, Melanie from the animation team, lovely Maria Dolores in Los Olivos with her big hugs for our daughter, and Jose in Los Olivos who remembered our daughter's name each time he saw us. If you are researching this hotel and wondering whether to book - do it! You won't be disappointed. We have met many families there who have returned year on year as you really can't find better. I'm not sure how we will be able to holiday anywhere else! Thank you Royal Son Bou - see you again next year!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay special. The restaurants were outstanding, offering a great variety of delicious food to suit all tastes. Every meal felt like a treat, with high-quality ingredients and excellent service throughout. What really stood out was how perfect the hotel is for children. There were plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and the environment felt safe, fun, and thoughtfully designed with families in mind. It made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable for everyone. Overall, a wonderful hotel with exceptional service, fantastic dining, and a great atmosphere for families. We would definitely love to return!

We didn’t realise how lucky we were in choosing here as our first holiday away with a baby under 1 year old. The staff were outstanding - particularly the waiting staff in the Los Olivos restaurant. They all made us feel personally welcome and at ease each meal time and made a fuss of our daughter, so she loved going back. The reception staff were helpful when we asked for how to navigate to Mahón with a pram etc. We were helped to the room with luggage by a friendly porter. All staff clearly took pride in their jobs and were so friendly. We didn’t quite realise how well set up the kids clubs were and how it was operated like a mini nursery style with separate clubs for different ages, which was excellent. It was good how the kids club area was set away from the pool, so the poolside was always quite calm rather than chaotic. Everything was super clean and well maintained. The travel cot provided was extra large, so great for when baby wanted to play in the room in her own space, and the baby bath was super handy. The apartment style worked very well. The resort was all families so we didn’t feel out of place at all with our little one. Given that pretty much every room had children, there was still a calmness to the resort, which was nice, and the resort itself felt very spacious. The restaurant had themed evenings - we stayed half board and found this perfect for flexibility with a little one so we could eat out if we fancied. Shops are closeby and the beach is only a short walk away. This really made our first family holiday away a special one and we can’t wait to return next year.

We had an amazing holiday at Royal Son Bou Family Club. The staff were brilliant and so helpful in organising meals for my son who has severe allergies. Delicious food, excellent service and great facilities.

This was our fourth visit to RSB and as always we had an amazing time. It’s a perfect location and the facilities and town of Don Bou are the best for kids. What makes it for us though is the amazing staff. Special mention as always for Toni, Fernando and Jorge in the restaurants who look after us so well and make our little boy feel so welcome. They work tirelessly for the guests and we really appreciate it. Kikoland is always a highlight and again there it is about the staff. Our little boy particularly loves Rosa, Gio, Melanie and Lucia. He can be quite shy and they really take the time to bring him round and include him. Thank you so much. The new addition of the splash zone was great this year and we used that most days. The only thing this year was an increase in reserving pool loungers which is disappointing. I really don’t think this is the hotel’s fault as they make it clear it’s not acceptable but sadly some were doing it this year and embarrassingly for us it was British people. Maybe it’s time to follow through with the threat of just removing towels since they can’t follow the rule.

A must go to for a young family! Every single member of staff was welcoming and made my children feel happy and safe. They all said hello, would make time for a little chat and would go above and beyond if we needed anything. The facilities are amazing... The service they provide and activities for the children. The food was brilliant! So much choice and had enough variety for my 2 girls who are very picky eaters! The beach is so close and beautiful! I highly recommend if you have young children. Every area is clean and staff members work hard to ensure it stays like that. Nothing was at fault. 5 stars from us!
